Great Customer Service. I had a tuna sandwich with the best bread I had in a long time. I left very happy. I bought some delicious cookies and bread to go. They are very personal, very nice, Definitely will come again.

They have the best everything. Been stopping here since the 1970's. I always go when I am visiting in the area.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE... I ordered a cake for my boss's birthday. I wanted a yellow cake. When we got to the office and cut the cake for the party it was white cake. My boss wouldn't eat it. Other people had a few bites. I called and complained that they gave me white cake. They tried telling me there was no difference between white and yellow cake.. really? are you really a bakery?? come on now. Then they said they would refund my credit card but I needed to call back when certain people were working. That was 23 days ago. I am still calling. Today I called, they screamed at me, again tried to tell me there was no difference between white and yellow cake, and that I needed to bring the cake (from 3 weeks ago) back in order to get a refund. They don't know what they are doing, they lie, and they ruined the birthday party. STAY AWAY

NOT FRESH, went there in the morning expecting fresh pastries, instead got a dry day old pastry, also over priced.

I grew up down the street from Fred's Bakery and have some of the most amazing memories tied to the place. The bread, the cake, and the constant smiles. They even let my brownie troop take a tour through the bakery, that ended with fresh baked cookies. The family who runs Fred's Bakery has always been so kind and the bakery has always been so warm and full of joy. This is a wonderful place to get something as important as a wedding cake or as common as a loaf of bread.

I had to write a rebuttal to the negative review of Fred's. My family has been going to Fred's for nearly 60 years. Their corn rye is the greatest, as is their mohn cake (poppyseed strudel). Their holiday fare is fabulous, such as macaroon cake (don't miss it!) at Pesach and teiglach (honey balls) at Rosh Hashanah. When I want Jewish baked goods, I don't go anywhere else, even though it's a schlep and a half for me to get there.
