Christ died for you; therefore He is certainly not going to require anything of you that would ultimately harm you, but He is abundantly for your good. Express your absolute allegiance to Christ and be surrendered to His love. Be able to say, "Lord, You are enough; and if I have You, though You strip everything else away, I am satisfied."

What are you tempted to be proud of tonight? Are you girls tempted to be proud of your beauty? Do you realize you could lose that in a second? Are you proud of how smart you are? One little thing and it could be gone and you can't even put sentences together. - Charles Leiter

The providence of God has to do with the fact that God is looking out and taking thought for everything ahead of time. Are you in a hard situation right now? Well God says, “I have already thought of that and made provision for that.”

The Passover points to the redemption that is found in Jesus Christ. Yet there is no point in knowing about the meaning of the Passover and what Christ did, if you don’t realize it applies to you. Are you trusting in Jesus Christ as your Passover?

Some use the expression, "God doesn't want you to be happy, He wants you to be holy." Yet they forget that there is no such thing as the unhappy holy Christian. The holy Christian is the happy Christian. The believer does not forsake happiness to have holiness, but because of holiness they are happy in God.

Believer, because we are the temple of God, we should ask the Lord for more power from the Holy Spirit. This power that is received, according to grace and not works, is essential to Christian growth. The Bible speaks of the Lord filling His temple with His Holy Spirit and with inexpressible glory. This reality should motivate us to pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our own lives and corporately in our churches.

What is contentment? Contentment is being fully satisfied in our soul, it is an idea of complete sufficiency. It is used in reference to God, in His self sufficiency and needing nothing. You could say it is coming to a state of being that is independent of external circumstances. In other words, it is being unmoved by external circumstances and situations because of the soul satisfaction within us; a state of soul satisfaction and sufficiency that circumstances, neither positive nor negative, can impact. This type of contentment is found in Christ alone and maintained by His power at work in us.

God has sovereignly placed you in your local church and given you the pastors you have. He has given you the people in your fellowship and they have imperfections, just as you do. Yet those weaknesses that you see in your local church can be the very things God is using to conform you to the image of Christ and to teach you to abound in love. So don’t go back from a conference and compare the experience there with that from your local church and begin to despise your local church.
