I bought a Groupon for this location: 2 oil changes for $30. First visit was OK, not very friendly but in and out in reasonable time. Second visit was a bust: 90 minute wait so I left. Third visit a debacle. Told get oil change in 30 min. At 15 min I stated watching the shop. 4 stalls and 5 people in shop. No one manning the counter. Bathroom was not clean. Only 3 of them were employees. 2 kids about 12 and 15 yrs old were in the shop topping off fluids. Other 3 focused on 2 cars. In 20 mins only one car left the shop and the others in the stalls showed no signs of being done soon. The leader, I say this loosely, was about 25yrs old. He was playing around with a big torque wrench about 2 ft long, lost grip and it went flying into oil pit where another employee was. It may have hit him. I called it quits at 20 mins. There was no way they were going to get to my car in reasonable time. All 3 were working on one car with a huge screwdriver trying to pry something loose. There was no communication with customers, no interest in them, no leadership. It was undermanned and had children working in shop. The leadership was not happy to see or serve customers. This was during all 3 visits. A terrible business in need of an owner who gives a crap. I went to the Kwik Kar in Denton on 380 east of loop288. Pulled right in to stall with cheerful and courteous staff. They had oil changed, topped off windshield wiper fluid, cleaned air filter, and cabin filter in 15 mins. A well lead team was working like this was a real business, not an inconvenience. Fantastic service.

BEWARE OF THE GROUPON DEAL, THATS HOW I FOUND OUT ABOUT THEM. I'VE ONLY BE HERE A FEW TIME AND EACH TIME THERE WAS AN ISSUE ESPECIALLY THIS LAST TIME. THEY CANT BE TRUSTED AT ALL WORST PLACE EVER TO GET AN OIL CHANGE. THEY ONLY TOP MY OIL WHEN I WAS SUPPOSE TO GET A FULL OIL CHANGE. THEY'RE ALWAYS TRYING TO GET OVER ON WOMEN. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. THEMANAGER EVEN HAS A HORRIBLE ATTITUDE. THEY DON'T VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL. I WILL BE CONTACTING CORPORATE OFFICE...

Please avoid this place like a plague. I went there couple times for an oil change and refused all the upsells as usual. The fat manager noticed that I always refused the the extras and he tried new scare tactic said there is sand in my engine as the oil was really dirty and I need to pay couple hundreds to clean otherwise my engine will fail if I drive it home. I said no and I drove my car home safely. Pathetic liar. I wish corporate Kwik Kar office notice our reviews and shut down this place.

I wish I could take back the 1 star that is mandatory.. I blame them for my car's problems. Although it made some sound previously it was running real smooth. Now it would not move. If i tried moving it i feel i am breaking the engine apart.

I think should be 0. Horrible experience. just want to get an inspection. Was told to pull the car against the wall and when we parked, one crazy guy yelled at us like insane! Questioned us why we parked the car there by ourselves. This area is employees only etc.! Literally it's their customer communication problem, they blame customers for that, making customers feel like fools. Okay, anyways, they checked the car said there are several problems need to be done to pass state inspection, with a total of 300 dollars! Man, my car is in good condition and they just want to ripe you off because it's state required inspection. Bye, I would never come back to this store, not even any of their chains. They treated customers with no respect at all. Wish they are out of business soon, groupon deal wouldn't save the store.

My engine trew a rod at 120k and thats nothing for a toyota, dealer said that it was because of the low quality oil... Ive been doing my oil changes at this place for over a year. I was supossedly getting pennzoil.. But in reality they use recycled low quality oil.. Good thing i have extended warranty.

I bought a Groupon for 2 oil changes for $27 at Kwik Car at 8280 Spring Valley. After seeing the poor reviews (2 out of 5 stars) I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and go for it since it's basically what I would pay to do it once myself. I never take my car somewhere to get the oil changed. I always do it myself. I tell everyone it's the easiest car maintenence one can do themselves. It's simple right? Drain old oil, remove old filter and replace with new one, and then fill with new oil. Simple. Or so I thought. It seems they only find it necessary to drain the oil and refill. No need to replace the filter. Jackasses! I knew something was funny when I was in and out in 8 minutes and that's no exaggeration. Got home and popped the hood to find that there was no sign of the engine cover being removed (which has to be done to access the filter) again I gave them the benefit of the doubt and upon further inspection I notice the cap that covers the oil filter still had dust on it meaning it hadn't been touched. Went ahead and went to Autozone and removed the oil filter and compared it to a new Bosch filter which is what I had installed myself the last time I changed my oil. They are identical. Except what I assume is the batch number in which these two filters were produced. Supposedly Kwik Car installed a new Penzoil filter according to the invoice. This, ladies and gentlemen is why I do all my own work and don't trust shady ass shops like this place.

I had the same experience as the other reviewer; went in for an oil change (my truck was in perfect condition by the way)... two days later it wouldn't move and made grinding/broken metal sounds. I ended up having to replace transmission which is CRAZY to me. I called back telling them about the issue and they denied everything. This place should be shut down!
