Hands down the best donut in New England (and I've had my fair share of donuts for comparison ;-) ) Update: Over the last couple of months they must have changed recipes or something because their taste had changed. They taste like any other donut around. Too bad.

Stopped in en route to Rockland and grabbed a few donuts to go (vitamin D!). The woman behind the counter was a sweetheart, even while a couple young kids were trying to destroy the front of the store. The donuts are airy and yes heavenly. We missed the apple filled (oh well) but the plain glazed and raspberry jelly were perfect. And my wife, who is not a donut fan, liked the blueberry cake. It wasn't too sweet and perfect for coffee.

A classic. Our kids loved the donuts. Mom and Dad enjoyed the $1 coffee.

Twists seem to be getting smaller and more misshappen. A quality control issue?

welcome to my new addiction! are you kidding me?? these things are heaven in doughnut form. Soft, gooey, perfectly iced, pure flavor. These people know how to make a good doughnut. The twists and raised glazed are their signature items. amazing. The cake doughnuts are good, too. Nice amount of nutmeg flavor, but the star of the show is the twist. I'm now addicted, which is unfortunate because we headed back to kansas the very day i put one in my mouth. Now all i have are warm memories to comfort me. So if you are near, for the love of all that's good and noble, stop and get one or a dozen. just be sure to bring cash.

Pros: These donuts are delicious. The coffee is good, and very affordable, just a dollar for any size coffee. Cons: They only take cash/check, and they do not have an ATM nearby (you have to cross the street and take a short walk). The store is run on the premise that once the donuts are gone for the day, the donuts are gone. Great - because there is no waste at the end of the day, a bummer because by 10 on a Saturday everything but the plain donuts are gone. I've also been during the week, around 9 am, and the selection was decent, but very limited. I understand the business model, but if you want to get a specific type of donut you have to show up very very early.
