Liquid Robotics has launched four wave-powered robotic gliders in an attempt to set a new world record for the longest distance ever attempted by an unmanned vehicle. Traveling 25,000 miles over 300 days, the wave gliders will also collect more than 2 million data points, helping to build the record of oceanic knowledge.
