Stayed here during our 2nd Vegas trip, the hotel has just been remodeled- Five years later, everything still looks great! The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the hallways smell like perfume and not smoke!

Was not greater well, they didnt have any king rooms ready at 9pm as a hhonors member figured might be offered an upgraded room. Instead was downgraded. Not a big complainer so just would say an over all not very pleasant experience. Will not recommended or be returning.

We are here in Las Vegas with family of two kids, went to take show tickets at box office and within show ticket area there was some game machines there. we were standing with kids and deciding about the show tickets and the security guy told me that 5000 dollars is the penalty for just standing kids there. so I asked him where should I stand he said to upstairs. Can you believe it that I come to Vegas and play for 3 times a year and first time I took my kids to show some good things here and the guy pushing me to go away. this was my first visit to Tropicanna and will never ever visit in my life. I hate it and all my friends i will repeat my story. it was so emberrased infront of kids they told me three times in 2 seconds that you cannot talk here. They think they are the only hotel in vegas. i have premium and every hotel welcomes us. sorry to Tropicaana fans.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Tropicana for our business conference. Five of us came in a day early so we had to book the room for the first day on our own. We are all Diamond members and we all paid a different rate. When we went to the desk to ask why, we could not get a straight answer. The A/C in my room was horrible, the shower had zero water pressure, paint peeling off the walls in the bathroom and no hot water in the entire back tower one day. Also, not that you should be watching T.V in Vegas but the t.v's are not good. I stay in a Hilton Hotel almost every week for work, they need to remove this one from the brand. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!

*****first off don't use their lotion if you're flying back home. the lotion contains glycerin in it and I ended up in a pat down and search at the McCarran airport. ****** secondly if you love second hand smoke then this place is the hotel to book. We had a non smoking room, but the sheets still smelled like cigarettes. front desk was great and it was pretty close to a lot of the main attractions. when we got back to the hotel housekeeping was in our room and didn't let us in, because she thought we were lying about the room bring ours. * make sure you put the do not disturb sign on the door when you leave in the morning. other than that our stay was okay.

Housekeeping staff ignores the Do Not Disturb sign when it's hung on the outside of the door. I was rudely awakened twice from this. The "complimentary wifi" is only good for 1 megabyte per day, after which you are charged ludicrous fees. Simply connecting with your smart phone will all but guarantee going over the limit within minutes. Bartenders are very stingy and would only comp ONE drink no matter how much I was gambling on the video poker. Bartenders at Hooters and Excalibur are far more generous and much more polite. Don't bother parking near the Club Tower. You will still have to walk all the way to the front entrance and then all the way back again through the hotel to take the elevator to your room. Why can't we simply enter from outside using our room key? You must wake up early if you want a hot shower in the morning. I was stuck showering with cold water twice because the hot water was depleted completely.

No shower pressure, no coffee maker in room, no free breakfast, no free WiFi access, Dirty windows can't see out of, no free movie channels on tv, everything is airport prices and you walk a mile to get to room

Fist time at the Tropicana. Got exactly what we were looking for. No line-up at check-in, staff (Jan) was super pleasant and we were in our room within 10 minutes from the time we walked through the doors. Room was clean, TV, & air conditioner worked and had a great view of the pool area and neighbouring hotels. The hotel doesn't have the presence (inside or outside) like the better known "super-star" hotels, but we weren't there for the shows or gambling, we had an event to attend and our temporary home suited our needs. Meals at the Beach Cafe restaurant were as good as any other restaurant you would find in Vegas. The only reason this hotel does not get a 5 star is due to the absence of a fridge in the room.
