South Beach up North played in the St. John's courtyard last week. Got of couple of clips of their musicianship. Wow!

Saw this live. What an exceptional group and Dr. Buchholz does a fantastic job getting the tight harmonies just right.

When in need . . .

Joe Rader Towing LLC

While you never want to have to call for a tow, I have had to on a few occasions over the past few years. When in need I always call Joe Radar. I have always gotten someone on the phone and day or night have had timely service. He has an excellent business.
Quality Excellent

It is always interesting to me how different interests mingle in the world of politics. Here is one where The Obama Campaign, a data company and the University of Wisconsin seem to be doing some shenanigans.

From the first glimpse of information about a revival and the searching for information, I am so happy about the way it all turned out.

These are the times, though, when I wish I could get to NYC. I doubt the headliners will stay with the show once it tours. Hope it gets to Chicago anyway (always loved the songs - the "show" looks awesome).

I am happy to call St John's my church.
reviewed:
Ten years ago my family were looking for a church home in Wausau, Wisconsin. While we looked at a number of traditions, we found ourselves drawn to St John's. The congregation is small and intimate, friendly, open and caring. There has always been opportunity, but no pressure to find ways to live out our faith. We have become more involved over the years and have enjoyed seeing this community continue to thrive and to grow.

The church building is gorgeous, the courtyard is well maintained and well used. I have even taken advantage of the chapel that is open 24 hours a day, year round for quiet reflection.

Even with a small congregation, they have many services (each including the Eucharist) during the week - three on Sunday, Wednesday around noon and Thursday evening. Fr David Klutterman is very available to talk individually and welcomes everyone on Sundays outside the sanctuary even on cold winter mornings. We couldn't have asked for a better place to worship in Wausau.

Freedoms are precious and need to be protected. While I don't know what the effect of these billboards were (and I truly doubt there was one person that became too scared to vote as a result), I do know that any time we allow fear of safety to determine whether we can exercise our free speech we  slip backwards.

Here is a follow-up to the story. The signs were taken down, but the charge of racism sits out there. This is NOT OK as far as I'm concerned. As the map shows, this was not a targeted buy, but only characterized as such by people who IMO spend time looking to be offended. Tacky.

They bring in some great acts. Blue Man Group, Rock of Ages, Ron White. Not to mention the local stuff that goes on here. I love what they are doing there!

Class scheduling was flexible and school was affordable. They worked with us to accommodate our busy schedule. Would recommend them in a second.

I have been going to this bakery for years now. Weekend treats, special breakfast for the kids, you name it. I have always found them friendly, helpful and polite. Since they are small, the sooner in the day you get there, the better the selection. There is no other place I have found that compares here in Wausau.

Favorite place for great beer in Wausau. Their beer garden with live music during the summer is a must. And since they brew their own, it is outstanding!
