Great post! I've been looking for some quality Ottawa suites, but haven't been successful. After seeing this and http://www.suitedreams.com/default.aspx?pg=accommodations_overview I have a much better idea for what I'm looking for. Thanks for sharing!

Luxury Hotel, Wedding Venue

Part of the Hampton Inn Hotels & Suites of New Orleans, the Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Convention Center Hotel is the largest and most full-featured hotel in the collection. Located in the vibrant Arts and Warehouse District, across the street from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Convention Center Hotel offers you luxury accommodations and convenient walking distance to some of New Orleans' most well known attractions.

Housed in a historic landmark building that was once the site of the World’s Fair, the Hotel is a converted early 1900's masonry building where burlap sacks were manufactured to transport rice, beans and coffee from the Port of New Orleans to other locations throughout the United States.

During the conversion, special preservation techniques were used to maintain the original hardwood floors, exposed brick, high ceilings, eight-pane windows and unique tower section. Ideal for convention attendees, in-house meetings, family vacations and cruise travelers.

Close to the city's finest dining and shopping in the heart of the Central Business District, the Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Convention Center Hotel is one exceptionally surprising choice for association/corporate meetings, reunions, cruises and weddings.

Loved the old brick buildings, the floor the ceiling windows, and the overall historical feel of the place. The complementary breakfast was wonderful, and the all-day complementary coffee bar was VERY much appreciated during my stay! The people were always kind and helpful, valet was quick, and the hotel was in walking distance of some great tourist locations! I'd definitely stay here again!

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. I have never been to a place that is kinder and more accommodating. Keep it up, team!

I came to New Orleans recently with a very large group and stayed at this hotel. Loved the accommodations. The staff was friendly and very helpful to our group. The rooms were clean, quiet and very generous in size. The beds at this hotel are absolutely the best to sleep you will ever find. The variety available for breakfast was awesome. If you want a great night's sleep, a good breakfast, awesome service, and nice room at a good price, while in New Orleans, I would recommend this hotel.

Great Experience... Staff always polite and cordial - went above and beyond during an extremely busy Mardi Gras season.

Got a great deal on this hotel from the hotel booking site that starts with "Hotels" and ends with "dot com." It's in the perfect location for an event at the convention center across the street. The staff at the front desk are great. They are very friendly and helpful. This is good because they handled problems well. Like this one, for instance: We showed up, checked in and got our room keys. When we went upstairs and opened the door, another guest was in there. There were open suitcases and clothes all over the place. We went downstairs and got another room assigned to use immediate. That room was, thankfully, unoccupied. The folks at the front desk were very nice about getting us a new room quickly and gave us some drinks and snacks from their store. That night, we found that the A/C unit was very, very loud. It sounded like the compressor motor was going to come out of the thing. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep that night. Another message to the front desk as we went upstairs after breakfast set the maintenance crew into action. They practically beat us to the room. Upon inspection, they opted to replace the unit. It was done within the hour. Very nice. The complimentary breakfast was OK. I like the waffles. The rest of the food was the usual pre-prepared, buffet style things you see at most hotels of this type. Good, but nothing to get excited about. There was lots of hot water for showers and shaving. That's always a good thing. So, overall it was an OK stay. The location is a plus. Despite the problems we had, the staff was quick to fix things. If I find myself attending an event at the convention center and I can get a good deal on this place, I will likely give them another chance.

Really liked the vintage look and feel of the original building, as well as the large paintings. There's a cool little bar on site and a nice courtyard too. It's far from Bourbon Street, but close for the convention center or cruises. I would go back.
