Great post! I've been looking for some quality Ottawa suites, but haven't been successful. After seeing this and http://www.suitedreams.com/default.aspx?pg=accommodations_overview I have a much better idea for what I'm looking for. Thanks for sharing!

Part of the Hampton Inn Hotels & Suites of New Orleans, the Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Convention Center Hotel is the largest and most full-featured hotel in the collection. Located in the vibrant Arts and Warehouse District, across the street from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Convention Center Hotel offers you luxury accommodations and convenient walking distance to some of New Orleans' most well known attractions.

Housed in a historic landmark building that was once the site of the World’s Fair, the Hotel is a converted early 1900's masonry building where burlap sacks were manufactured to transport rice, beans and coffee from the Port of New Orleans to other locations throughout the United States.

During the conversion, special preservation techniques were used to maintain the original hardwood floors, exposed brick, high ceilings, eight-pane windows and unique tower section. Ideal for convention attendees, in-house meetings, family vacations and cruise travelers.

Close to the city's finest dining and shopping in the heart of the Central Business District, the Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Convention Center Hotel is one exceptionally surprising choice for association/corporate meetings, reunions, cruises and weddings.

I came to New Orleans recently with a very large group and stayed at this hotel. Loved the accommodations. The staff was friendly and very helpful to our group. The rooms were clean, quiet and very generous in size. The beds at this hotel are absolutely the best to sleep you will ever find. The variety available for breakfast was awesome. If you want a great night's sleep, a good breakfast, awesome service, and nice room at a good price, while in New Orleans, I would recommend this hotel.

Really liked the vintage look and feel of the original building, as well as the large paintings. There's a cool little bar on site and a nice courtyard too. It's far from Bourbon Street, but close for the convention center or cruises. I would go back.

check in is always a breeze,e asy parking. the staff is very nice but the rooms could be a bit cleaner. maybe i am just picky, but when you run your hand over the granite int he bathroom it should feel smooth; not as if it could have used a little spray cleaner on the surface. toilet paper holder is impossibly far away from the toilet. a hazard in a hotel where everyone is usually drinking -

Enjoyed my stay! Offered a great complimentary breakfast. Nice bar and courtyard area - very relaxing. If you are attending an event at the convention center - this is a great place to be. Recommended restaurants in walking distance: Sun Ray Grill, Cochon, Cochon Butcher, American Sector (WWII Museum area)

I'm on the conference here in N.O. and the hotel is just across the road to convention center, so it's very convenient for me. The staff is brilliant. Especially Lindsey, who was solving mine and my friends' problems for an hour.
Liked: Staff, Breakfast, Location, Lindsey on reception
Disliked: Restaurant
