Torn between a 3 and 4 on this one. Appealingly, if slightly fake, informal cutesy interior. Good selection of tea. Hot chocolate is good quality, but too sweet. Desserts run heavily to cupcakes, but there's a few other things, and a very few savory things. Serves alcohol but at least on a Wednesday night had a quiet coffeeshop group of people hanging out, no barlike feel. Nice selection of small round (but shaky tables) plus a few long work tables. Several outlets but not conveniently located to the tables. Mixture of comfortable and uncomfortable chairs. Free wi-fi with password.

This is a cozy little backery/ coffee house in Ballston area. The coffee here is very nice and the staff here was very kind. I highly recomend there baked goods. I loved the rice crispy treats I had here! They were the perfect amount of marshmellow and rice crispy.

Very cute little coffee shop in Ballston! I love the savory scones here, and the coffee is pretty good as well. There is plenty of seating (including outdoor seating), so it's not too tough to find a spot.

Yuck! The over-priced, mediocre cupcake had a hair stuck between the paper and the cake. Won't be back there.

Good atmosphere to work/study or catch up with a friend. They have comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Reliable wifi. They have coffee all day and beer/wine at happy rates at night. They make seasonal ice cream (check the freezer) that is delicious. Our all-time favorite the Cereal Milk Ice Cream. Yum. Tips: -Follow them on Twitter/Facebook to get updates on live events, tastings, giveaways. -If you stop in RIGHT before close, sometimes they'll offer ridiculous deals ($5/dozen) on cupcakes. Otherwise they get thrown out.

This is a cute place. Coffee isn't bad. The cupcakes are a little sweeter than I like..very decadent. At this location the parking is difficult so it is much better if you are close and walking. Not easy to be driving and just run in to get a coffee.

One of my favorite coffee lounges/bakeries in Northern Virginia. Everything looked so tempting that we got back in line and ordered again! The staff does a great job of making sure you leave happy. The treats are delicious and depending on what you get can be slightly pricey. The decor is adorable and very conducive for studying or chatting quietly. However, we had to wait awhile before seats opened up as many patrons stay there for hours on end. The tables are placed close together, forcing you to awkwardly stare at customers sitting next to you. Despite that, it's a very cozy, comfortable place.

I find the food, coffee and service to be very hit or miss here. There are some good food items here such as the cupcakes and cookies. Some other things I've had have been pretty bad. The brioche breakfast roll with egg inside was so overcooked the egg was green. The coffee is usually what I go for, but a couple times it has tasted downright terrible. Some days the service is excellent, some days I am completely ignored & have to wait 10 minutes. Not my favorite spot, but will do in a pinch if I'm walking by.
