My blog report of the Fat Viking race is finally ready, check it out!

What an adventure! Finished Fat Viking in 16 hours 17 minutes, probably in 9th place which is irrelevant. I came to race against myself. I made a mistake when I missed 2nd checkpoint, and realised my mistake after 10 km of riding. I rode furiously back to checkpoint.

The conditions were absolutely horrible in many places. Lots of bumpy ice. This was definitely craziest race I have done so far. Lots of things that went through my mind during the race.

I want to thank my family for outstanding support and also my parents. Without them this wouldn't been possible. Thanks also to my current sponsors, The Kona Bicycle Co., Porcelain Rocket and Rex, and previous sponsors too. More later!

Absolutely fantastic winter day and evening today, and the last slightly longer training ride for Fat Viking which takes place next Saturday in Geilo, Norway. Feeling pretty good, and the winter feeling out there was great.

Compared to last winter with Rovaniemi 150 when I set a very high goal, I'm approaching Fat Viking relaxed and taking it as a good test, and I'm looking forward to a great adventure with beautiful scenery!

As expected, today's theme was 'Another day in Winter Paradise', and man, it was truly beautiful day! I visited another stunning rock in Kimito Island. This time it required a bit more bike pushing but I like it when I can visit more places that way. I'm truly amazed every time that this place is so magnificent. Also, I was surprised how capable and stable bike my Kona Wo is.

Overjoyed! Although I have to be careful after the flu, there is no way that I would stay inside when the conditions are like this outside! 10 cm / 4 inches of that lovely white stuff fell from the sky last night and in the morning. Kona Wo feels absolutely fantastic with the recent changes.

The non-winter conditions (+6°C, no snow) continues here in South-Western Finland. At least it was sunny and I managed to grind some important kilometers. At the same time, I found some nice and interesting places again.

Back home from Vajosuo Solstice Extreme, an adventure and group ride that almost turned to complete solo effort. +Juha Jokila came to Vajosuo shelter. Rode 45,6 km last night and 102,4 km today. Very tough day with wet, slushy and demanding conditions. Thanks to Juha for company.

Outstanding day outing with my family and photo session for my Kona Wo! No snow, but -10°C temperature overnight and today did the magic with the sun and clear skies.
