As a soldier it seems to be your job to "do or die", to follow orders and keep most of your reservations to yourself. Your job seems to be to trust the chain of command. As a responsible civilian it seems to be your job to question everything. I think civilians are failing to do their jobs.
Marines often say there is no such thing as a x-marine. Does this mean that many marines feel it is their responsibility to forever obey the chain of command and abstain from the civilian responsibility to question everything?
