Planned an event at the Dana Hotel Rooftop and they doublebooked so we ended up here instead. It was great for making do, but again, unfortunate to have to plan everything at the last minute. The staff was extremely helpful. Food was pretty good - sliders were decent. It seemed like they had a pretty good happy hour menu from 5-7 including sliders, shrimp cocktail, oysters, and wings.

We ended up at Argent because it was the only place that had availability on a Saturday night at 7:30PM. I'm not sure why it wasn't full; the experience was great. We had a couple of sushi rolls, some oysters, the foie gras, the tuna tar tar and the french fries with gravy. Everything was awesome, and our server was able to describe everything on the menu articulately and cordially. The only part that wasn't terribly awesome was the dessert. We ordered one of each available dessert (there were only two) and each item was ok, but not great. But this place was great. I'm surprised they weren't busier.

The food was excellent, the decor as excellent, the service was whatever is above "Excellent" and is the reason to dine here. We enjoyed appetizers (which were fantastic) and deserts (which were good). Appetizers were small portions of tasty items, all special, and all clearly well-thought-out. The service, though, was what made the experience. Our server was deeply familiar with the menu, was highly accommodating in finding us just the right seating, and was thoughtful and attentive throughout. All his recommendations were perfectly spot-on and were grounded in asking just the right questions.

Had dinner with friends at Argent the other night. I had the lobster bread for the main course which was great but the highlights were the salad and the dessert. The caesar salad is one of the most unique I've ever had and I could have licked my plate when I was finished with it. Next time I might just have to order two caesars. For dessert we split the chocolate bag. What a mistake. To split it, I mean. I quickly dominated my friends and devoured it. The atmosphere was elegant and very relaxed. Perfect for a cool, summer evening. Excellent service. Definitely worth a return trip.
