My home state, Minnesota. I've been telling friends for years, you can see the Northern Lights in Minnesota! This year I had the chance to prove it. I met my Mom and Aunt Lesa "Up North", as Minnesotans call it. This is a phase that may confuse non-Minnesotans, "Up North" is not a true directional phrase. It actually refers to area Northish the Twin Cities, that includes areas East and West as long as there is a lake and it's not in the Twin Cities, it's considered "Up North".
