Went out for a jet ski trip and nothing was too memorable. They did make us wait for an hour for another party to come in, although we had called ahead and made a reservation. The interior is barren, and it looks like they have no intention of keeping it any way but barebones

I don’t recommend this Groupon for the following reasons: It took 1 year to get the rental scheduled because rain dates are 4 weeks out to rescheduled and if you book after October, they close down till February of the following year and then with limited schedule. It took me 6 appoint to finally get to go. The place is located by the sponge docks on the Anclote river and it takes a 20 min wake (2 miles/hr) to get pillon 29 where you can go full throttle. The dock has a 4’ drop where my wife ripped the back side of her bathing suite trying to get to the floor of the jet ski dock. There was a lot of boat traffic and it can be dangerous. They charge you for the gas at a rate of $15 a gas indicator bar. We ended up paying $30/per jetski ($60 total) for gas. The water was brown and murky and smelled like gas. The jetski’s looked like they came from a junk yard and were put together with duck tape and painted white to cover previous damages. They make you sign two disclaimers releasing them of any liability. Overall they made a fun and exciting experience like jet skiing into a worrisome tedious task with little recreational value. I’m sorry I brought this Groupon. You will be too. Try Clearwater or Treasure Island instead, you’ll have a better time and the price is not all that different if you consider that gas fee. I ended paying a total of $160 for two jet ski’s for 2 hours.

Never came across a local business with such horrible customer service...not to mention their illegal bait-and-switch tactics. We were told "gas and tax" were additional to the cost of the jet ski, but then a bogus $30 charge was added to our credit cards. When we questioned the costs, their employees admitted the real costs were significantly less, but "that's how we make our money," and "next time you come, just tell us you're a repeat customer and we'll only charge you for the actual gas you used." REALLY?? Of course, numerous attempts to speak to the owner following the incident were met with nothing but silence, so if you'd like to avoid the same fate, make sure to avoid this company....and Tom C. Church Jr. (he has a home at 22317 Magnolia Trace Blvd. in Lutz and his future wages are being garnished for other bad business incidents).

Dunedin Watersports was a blast! I don't know why others have posted such poor reviews. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before my reservations. I would have missed out on a great vacation adventure. The experience was great from start to finish. The staff were all helpful and very energetic. They really take care of their customers. I can't wait to come back next year! Thanks guys at Dunedin Watersports. You all rock! See you next year!

Stay far, far away from this place! They are now using the Tarpon Springs Watersports location for unknown reasons--perhaps violations? The person who instructs with the waverunners is EXTREMELY nasty, aggressive and unprofessional. Half way through my outing, my waverunner broke down and I had to call for assistance. I was told to go into the water and look underneath to see if there was a seaweed clog. My husband could not find anything and we called them back. The guy reluctantly came to rescue me and when we got back to the office, we were charged an additional $30 for gas, on top of the $50 gas cost! He also told us that we were lucky he didn't charge an additional $100 for the rescue! Silly me--I thought I would be offered a free trip in the future to make up for the fact that my waverunner broke down. When I got home, I went online to read reviews and found countless bad reviews with similar experiences. They like to add on bogus gas costs and have been referred to as scam artists! Apparently, they do not accept responsibility for their equipment and point the finger of blame at the customer. The guy was unbelievably rude and aggressive. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!

Tons of fun! We had a blast. Problem was, we asked in advance about extra fees we would have to pay for gas, tax, etc. Here was their exact reply. "The reviews people have left can be a little misleading, for some vouchers we do charge for gas and there is a security deposit for everything we rent out, and most of the time people fail to read the fine print so it is a shock to some people when they come in. The only fee you would pay since you have an Amazon Local voucher would be the sales tax which is $2.80 per wave runner." Sure enough, they charged us an extra $23 for gas at the end. Not a huge deal but left a bad taste in my mouth. FORTUNATELY, we got our deposit back. We picked a Jet Ski with minimal scratches and recorded a video before and after to avoid bogus fees for damage.

Thanks all for the reviews. We had planned to rent skis for the kids today from this company, but not after reading these.

Great experience! Took my 9 yr old daughter for her first time on a jet ski, she loved it. The girl at the counter really helped my daughter to not be so nervous. They treated us so professionally which made it such a memorable time. My daughter will never forget her 2 hours of enjoyment. Thank you, Dunedin Water Sports! I will definitely be a return customer...
