Elegantly serving San Antonio daily since 1980. Lush landscaping and ambiance makes Crumpets an ideal setting for bridal luncheons, rehearsal dinners, receptions, dates and family reunions. Our specialties include Beef Wellington, Rack of Lamb, Shrimp Montrachet, and most impressive the "Trilogy".

Ate here and was disappointed. Drab and depressing atmosphere. Staff seemed angry to be there. Slow service. Only mediocre food. Don't got here and spend 30 dollars for an okay meal.

Not good. Went for dinner and was very unimpressed. We were the first people in and were seated and waited on promptly. The food took about 25 minutes, duck and liver entrées. The potatoes on the duck were barely warm, one of the 2 in the mixed veggie was undercooked. The duck sauce was VERY strong, so much so that I couldn't taste the duck. It was also tough. After finishing our meals, we waited almost 30 minutes for our server to show up again (there are now 5 tables). The check with credit card has now been sitting here almost 10 minutes. Server has walked by the table twice now. The service started out good, but quickly went bad. The price is really high for the portion size and quality. I won't be coming back. The identity of the place is confused. They claim to be a European restaurant but have photos of American locations on the walls. A giant painting of a Spanish/Mexican village. About half the menu is American food. The only real European style food is the Italian entrées.

Went for Valentines'. Had a reservation, but was seated 30 minutes late. However, they did give us each a free glass of wine while we were waiting. The food was excellent, but the service was just terrible! If I'm going to be paying $125-$150 for a dinner for 2 and some wine, I want top notch service. The service was about on par with Taco Cabana :(

Wonderful dinner! Had the Sicilian chicken which was very moist and flavorful. Loved the assortment of vegetables that came with the meal. Grand Marnier cake was to die for- not too sweet at all, great buttercream frosting that melts in your mouth, and the slivered almonds on the edges added a really nice crunch. Excellent service!

Was debating on where to take my mother for her birthday when we passed by the restaurant . It was our first time here and fell in love with the setting. We were seated next to a window and had an AMAZING view of the patio which lead to the wooded forest which had a creek running through it. The plants and flowers around the restaurant we so beautiful and well taken care of. We all decided to order something different so we wouldn't miss out on anything. Between the pasta, salmon, duck breast and lamb I would have to say my favorite was the Beef Wellington, which may I say was cooked to PERFECTION!! Staff was friendly and service was EXCEPTIONAL. We definatly will be coming back

The restaurant looked nice and had a good atmosphere but the food was very bland in every aspect. Service was adequate but I would not go so far as to say that it was good.

Thanksgiving at Crumpets. What a disappointment, first you should not have to wait for a table when you have a reservation, OK maybe a couple of minutes but not twenty especially when you are looking at the empty fully serviced table you will finally be taken to. Finally seated our waitress was fine and very attentive brought our drinks took our orders. Sadly it went downhill from there, the menu stated all entrees served with app, salad, bread & dessert. We ordered turkey and ham for our entree, puff pastry with wine and mushroom sauce for an app, apps come out, tough day old pastry with i suspect Heinz jarred mushroom gravy & extra salt. Then our salad not bad but it's salad come on, entree time, 5 diners at our table 4 diners served five minutes later number 5 was served. turkey (cool & dry), ham (1 very thin deli shaved slice) also cold, huge pile of green beans ( bland) 2 teaspoons of stuffing, that's it no mashed potatoes, no gravy, no bread, NO BREAD it's a bakery (supposedly). Now our waitress is no where in sight, we finish our sadly over priced meal & sit & wait & wait until finally a girl seemingly about 14 years old comes up to our table & asked if we are OK we reply that we are finished & would like to see our bill & one person asks about dessert, the waitress shows up says sorry, what do you want for dessert.we decline dessert and ask to leave, she produces our $185.00 bill and we pay & tip fairly well ($40), on the way out she comes up with a boxed pie & states here's your dessert. (we left it sitting on a bench outside). I had always heard very good things & how upscale this farce of a European dining establishment was. what a sad disappointment. will never spend another cent there & will let everyone who asks know the truth.
