Barnsley House Wedding Photography Cotswolds

Shân and Howard’s beautiful Cotswold Country House wedding, with their gorgeous family and flocks of friends all up for a party! As I grab my camera and head out into the heart of the Coltswolds, with its rolling countryside and graceful cottages, I arrive at the sophisticated Barnsley House, a quintessentially elegant English pile. This was a day of celebration and happiness as two families combine, with a malay of kids running amok and a malay of adults doing pretty much the same, with fine food, fine booze in a very fine setting. Elegance personified.
Barnsley House and Spa, in the heart of the Coltswolds, the perfect wedding venue for a an elegant English country house wedding.

Elegant Country House Wedding Colstwolds

With an outdoor ceremony in the gardens of the House, Shân walked down the isle accompanied and given away by her young sons. A sweet moment of many during the summer sunshine in late September, with fine wine, cocktails, fine food and much merriment.

Back in England for Lisa & Karl’s homecoming family shebang. With an outdoor ceremony (definitely not gonna rain.. might have rained a tiny bit!) and loads of sun and fun in the heart of somerset. An awesome, beautifully rustic country house, Pennard was the perfect choice for family and friends to spend a super sweet day celebrating.

Pennard House Wedding Photography, in the middle of Somerset, tree’s and fields and sunny skies. Lisa and Karl live in New Zealand, so their wedding was a reunion of their closest family and friends after several years away. They chose a quintessentially beautiful venue in Pennard House; A gorgeous old family home, full of antiques and a series of rambling rooms, many with views over the Somerset fields.

Somerset Country House Wedding

Despite not being able to view Pannard before the big wedding day, Lisa and Karl fell in love with the place and knew pretty quickly that they had chosen well! The house itself was open for guests to stay in, the garden free to roam and chill out in; the tipi’s, whilst not used for Lisa and Karls wedding are definitely a fun addition, whilst the stables and have been beautifully converted for a great party spot.

This was an intimate and super sweet day in one of the loveliest spots in Somerset. Photographs by myself, Joseph Hall; taken in a natural, unobtrusive way; documenting precious wedding moments and belly laughing fun!

On a glorious day (after a crappy summer of rain and grey), Beth and Ross held their sweet ‘outdoorsy’ wedding amid an explosion of colour, cake and fun. Frida Kahlo inspired Beth and hunky monkey Ross made the perfect pair, marrying at Holy Trinity Westbury on Trym and onto Colliters Brook Farm, for a brass band hoedown full of music, cocktails, glitter and revelry

Beth looked amazing on her wedding day, she had designed her dress with the help of a local dressmaker, accompanied by the most amazingly colourful flower theme accessories. Beth was beautifully inspired by Frida Kahlo with rouge lipstick, flower head piece and gorgeous wedding gown.

Ross, the lovely groom, was the picture of laid back charm as the sun shone and the rain held off on a wonderful musical day. The wedding ceremony was held in Holy Trinity Church Westbury on Trym, where Beth’s choir performed throughout the ceremony.

Ross is also a big music fan, so as a surprise Beth had arranged for a Brass Band to play at the reception. Luckily for the band the came marching down the path just as the sun was shining for an outdoor afternoon boogie.

Family Field Wedding Somerset

Laura and Freddie contacted me from Singapore several months ago with ideas and plans for their wedding back home in Somerset, UK. Family Field Wedding Somerset. As Laura’s mum has a house is in the countryside, with it’s own fields and land, near a church, what more could they want! Fast forward to September and the preparations had been made, the marquee erected and friends and family were arriving from all over the globe

All photography by Joseph Hall UK Wedding Photography in and around Bristol.

Luckily for Laura and Freddie, after a dreadful August of rain and misery, the sun was shining and the day was looking beautiful. In conclusion this wedding, set amongst rolling fields, sheep and birds, their English country wedding was a gorgeous day of partying, eating and saying I do!

So, on a clear a sunny day in early September, Laura and Freddie held a glorious and magnificent wedding on their family field, a stones throw from the church. It was a day of food and booze, family and friends, celebrating and partying in the somerset countryside.

Beth and Eamonn!! In beautiful Somerset!! In the Sun!!
This was a brilliant day in the depths of the South West, with a village church, a classic Land Rover and a amazing farm venue with - hay-bales, tractor rides, rounders, help yourself bar.. ending in an epic ceilidh, pizza and drunkeness!

In a great location in the heart of somerset, with a bell tent style marquee, rustic outdoor buildings with bar, pizza oven, a secret garden. Old Oak Farm even created a rounders pitch for Beth and Eamonn. A tractor made an appearance giving the wedding guests an unforgettable experience trundling around the grounds on the back of a vintage beast sitting on hay-bales! This a a perfect, rustic yet comfortable Somerset wedding venue, with free reign of the place, a completely flexible and special venue to entertain, enjoy and celebrate your wedding!

A WILD JOURNEY

A few months ago I picked up my camera and set out on a rather exciting trip to Iceland. Iceland is one of those countries that although is pretty close to the UK I had never had the opportunity to visit or explore. It’s a country that is so organically powerful that it certainly affects those who visit – The geology is crazy, alien and profoundly moving. Snow, ice and fire. Sea and rocks and volcanic mossy fields as far as the eye can see. Hugely powerful waterfalls and delicate estuaries, rivers and streams. It’s almost impossible to avoid the history of the landscape and I spent much of my time marvelling at how the first settlers survived the rugged terrain. I visited in October, which I guess is the start of the winter months. At the time I was hoping for a little more sun and perhaps some inclement weather!! However looking back at the photos taken in the rain and wind, it was just perfect and just ridiculously pretty. There were geysers and if I had spend another night or two, the northern lights. But if I’m completely honest, these novelties, albeit completely ridiculously beautiful novelties, didn’t capture my imagination. It was the constant, tangibly powerful environment that affected me and although I was in the heart of Reykjavik I saw very little of it the city. But that is something I will definitely be addressing: I still have a wad of Icelandic Kronors tucked away in my drawer as a guarantee to myself that I will return shortly with my wife. There are definitely more burgers to eat and pubs to visit!!
So Iceland, my time with you was great! I was able to hang out with a bunch of hugely talented and lovely photographers, organised by the wonderfully scrummy Nordica. I have gained some amazing friends and experienced one of the worlds most wonderful places. Ever wondered where a rainbow ends.. checkout these pics:

In 2016 I received an email from an Uncle looking for a photographer for his niece. He was messaging from LA on behalf of his sister in New Mexico, arranging a wedding for her daughter based in Mongolia! Originally from Cuba, their whole family had moved and resettled in the Southern states of the US and the Caribbean islands and with the bride and groom living and working in all over the world, picking up friends as they went; this was sure to be a global wedding. Wedding Photography in Falmouth

Paul, the groom, was raised in Cornwall, where his parents still live. In an area in the south coast not far from Falmouth. It made perfect sense to come home to one of the most beautiful places to get married and party.
With the Cornish weather being so unpredictable, it didn’t disappoint, with every season in one day! One thing can be certain when staying by the Cornish coast, the weather will be epic and changeable and the landscapes will be beautiful.

Diana’s Uncle had secured the remarkable Pendennis Castle to hold the wedding ceremony: A castle built over 500 years ago on a peninsular overlooking the creeks, the estuaries and the open ocean. From here we were transported by vintage bus to nearby cove restaurant, aptly named ‘The Cove’. A contemporary and stylish establishment with heavenly food and astonishing views.

In south West region of France, Debbie and Ian had their wedding in Chateau de Malliac. An outdoor wedding ceremony in the grounds of the Chateau with surrounding sunflower fields. In a beautiful setting, an amazing wedding weekend, with fine wine and delicious French wedding food. Chateau de Malliac has countless beautiful rooms for guests to stay in as well as a dorm that can sleep 50+ guests (if desired!). A big gallery barn for a sit down meal and dance, with potential for over 200 guests. A huge, but intimate venue for a great French wedding.

Surrounded by the hills of Dartmoor National Park is this fantastic hotel and wedding venue. With Archery and hunting and golf buggies, with a spectacular backdrop, this is a beautiful place to get married. Sian and Adam had come home. Home to Devon, to this roots and to their families. As they currently live and work in Malaysia, this was a particularly exciting and special day. Love ones celebrated and partied in one of the loveliest locations.. completely letting down their hair! Sian and Adam congratulations x

Berkeley Square Wedding Photographer Bristol with Anna and Mal. Anna and Mal live with their daughter in one of Bristol’s most iconic areas, in a beautiful Georgian house overlooking Cabot Tower and Brandon Hill park. They chose to have their wedding ceremony and reception as locally as possible in the intimate setting of the Berkeley Square Hotel. With the ceremony a short walk (or taxi!) at Bristol Register Office on Corn Street this wedding was within a square (1/2) mile. As a Bristol wedding photographer it’s a real pleasure to actually photograph in Bristol! Although this may sound odd, I generally shoot far and wide regularly hitting the road and travelling to various parts of the country. So, to be capturing a day so personal and local in a area I know inside out, is a very special experience!
