The battery life on my Gear 1 is down to about 10 hours. It started after one of the gear manager updates.

Anyone know a fix for this? I may have to find an older copy just to make it usable.

My Gear 1 died. Out of warranty. May be a dead battery. I need to take it apart. Had it for just over a year.

OUR Congress legalized fraud, larceny and conspiracy. Taking sides is the progressive insurrection to stop democracy. Now the nihilist take over to destroy 1776. Keep it (1776) or lose it forever, fools.

A throwback #Caturday  for you.  The inimitable 4th Doctor, Tom Baker, with kittens. I suppose they unraveled his scarf, the little devils!  :D

Not a new article - NOM has pretty much collaped and the rubble burnt to cold cinders at this point - but it's a really on-point examination of this bizarre phenomenon of wing-nut Christians in the USA claiming to be "persecuted" because there are people who don't share their beliefs.

Defending scientific knowledge got a young ESPN reporter suspended. Now he's back and doesn't seem to have learned his lesson. Way to go, Keith Law!

Polls show that white Americans don’t empathize with black kids who get shot by white cops, or with blacks who complain about abuse by police. Here’s a handy exercise clueless whites can use to walk a few seconds in black people’s shoes. http://rall.com/comic/hey-white-people-heres-how-you-can-feel-like-a-black-person-confronted-by-a-white-cop

step 4, you don't go for anything, when a man with a gun, and the authority to shoot you, has you pulled over.

Good french press coffee. Not over priced. Good music on the sound system. I will be back.

One of the best Chinese restaurants on 82nd. Good food. Good DimSum. (With more seating available than Wong's King.) They do take out. They have a wide selection of seafood. They have duck to go. The bar is also quiet and fairly well stocked. [update] Another fine place torn down in the name of "progress". Gone, but not forgotten.

The food has improved since the remodel of the kitchen. Standard American fare. Prices are good. Staff is friendly. Worth a visit. Good option when no one wants to cook.

The farmhouse had a remodel and they were good. Now they have done another remodel amend they are gone. They claimed to have moved to Greg's, but it is none of the same people, none of the same menu. Sad to see it go.

Vegetables are out of a can. The fried chicken was good. The salad tasted like it was soaked in dish water. Food is either good or inedible. Varies a lot. Mostly a bar.
