O.K, you got me: I have participated in ghost haunting camps. Yes, I went to haunted houses with all the equipment, ready for recording paranormal electronic voices, detecting any unusual and radical change of temperature and … running like hell if the things turn to be more creepy than expected! New research has found a way to better predict the effects of chemicals on biological systems,  that may one day reduce the need for animal testing, and thanks God, because if you dig a little bit in Google images about this topic, you may end up thinking Humankind is the most evil species in the world. If you are a sensitive person, I do not recommend you to follow my example, because I am going to need a while to get rid of these images from my head, but his new research has given my hope.

Researchers at the RIKEN Evolutionary Morphology laboratory and other institutions in Japan have shown that complex divisions in the vertebrate brain first appeared before the evolution of jaws, more than 500 million years ago. Published in Nature, the study shows that two elements of brain genoarchitecture thought to be unique to jawed vertebrates are actually present in two jawless fish―the hagfish and lamprey.
