Mae Fesai is a general assignment news reporter and anchor for KCRA 3 Reports.
Mae is a recent arrival from KSBW-TV in Salinas where she anchored the weekend and morning newscasts and delivered breaking and hard news stories. Before heading to Salinas, she was a general assignment reporter for a local Sacramento news station. Mae worked hard to establish a strong understanding of what’s important to the people in the Northern California region by reporting live news events to packaging both local and national news stories. Prior to that Mae was also an anchor and reporter for KMVT-15 in Mountain View and CTV-30 in Pleasanton and a general assignment reporter for KSBY-TV in San Luis Obispo.
Mae graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree from San Francisco State University in Health Science with a minor in Chemistry and she continues to work on her Masters Degree in Broadcast Journalism. She is a member of several organizations, including the College Students in Broadcasting and the Asian American Journalists Association.
Mae supports several charities, with a focus on organizations that support children including the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, and youth ministries at her church.
Mae is married with 2 children and enjoys extreme sports. She loves being in Sacramento because she calls it the perfect track to do all her sports which include motocross, ATV, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, running, water sports, and cruising around town on her husband’s motorcycle. Her favorite thing of all is reading to her kids at bedtime.
