Quality Meats, named one of the best new steakhouses in America by Details, is a rustic New American restaurant. The warm, industrial décor draws on cues from traditional New York City butcher shops.

My favorite steakhouse in NYC, great for special occasions or for entertaining visitors. The corn creme brûlée and the gnocchi and cheese are excellent sides. They usually have a few dry aged steaks on the menu, and every one I've had has been fantastic. If you're up for a wine adventure, try the sommeliers bin, a way to get random leftover bottles of expensive and fancy wine for a flat rate. They take reservations on opentable, so if you plan far enough in advance, you can get a table for a large group. It seems pretty busy otherwise, so I wouldn't recommend coming without a reservation.

Bottom-line: sub-par... Four stars for the interior, however very loud, and inattentive staff which leaves me at two stars. We had the porterhouse for 2- as it was one of the best rated steakhouses in NY, I was disappointed with the quality of the meat- at best mediocre. Bottom-line: sub-par

Disappointing service, particularly disappointing cocktails. Steak was fine, but I would sooner spend the money at Benjamin's.

The craft beer scene was so big in New York CA.I for one didn't. I think about of the beer here consist of local brews and the other is from outer state.I was surprised that they served the Brewery here which is one of my hometown favorites from Orange County.Given that, the environment is pretty chill here everyone seemed to be having a good time socializing amongst themselves. The one highlight of this place was the Oyster sandwich. Those are some bad ass oysters they put in the sandwich because they were so large. They were breaded perfectly and tasted pretty fresh. The rest of the menu seemed to consist of southern items like gumbo and such but I was too full to try everything.

Good steak, had the rib eye & nice pinot noir. Reasonable price for the quality. Service okay, not overly friendly but attentive and offered me a sample of ale when requested.

The meat might be quality but the service sure wasn't. Came in looking forward to a nice dinner in New York, was told the wait was 45 mins. Sounded good so we tucked into a spot to wait. An hour later, no one came to get us but several others who came in after us who had been told the wait was extensive got seated. We ended up having dinner elsewhere. Fine with me, got to spend my money at a place that actually wanted to serve me. Maybe the reservationist should have said: 'you need a reservation' and we could have saved an hour. No one so much as said 'have a nice night' when we walked out. With so many other choices to select, why would you bother going there?

Had lunch there today. The green goddess salad was very tasty. However, the bone in rib eye was fantastic. Cooked perfectly, a great cut of aged beef and the seasonings on the steak were delicious. Very handsome restaurant. Smaller and more intimate than I expected. The chocolate cake was good, but the custard topped with raspberries was fantastic.

The name says it all. It has quality meats (beef). I tried the marrow, filet, among others. All were good. Can't go wrong.
