So excited for this launch tomorrow and the awesome work the team put in this past year coming to fruition.

Tomorrow, foursquare is launching a promoted updates pilot program.  This is what I've been working on for most of my time at foursquare and I'm super excited this is going live tomorrow.  I never imagined how exhilarating it would be to launch a giant feature like this one.

Special congratulations to +Daniel Harrison, +Noah Weiss and +Tudor Leu

If anyone's (especially some of my former Google Ads Quality folks) are interested, I'll actually be giving a short tech talk next Wednesday evening (Aug 1st) at the foursquare SF office, ping me and I can send you an invite.

‎6 months in the oven, and now our big launch is finally out: merchants can connect with their best customers on foursquare by sending them Updates with text, photos, and specials.

So proud of the huge team that made this happen: Zach Maier Nate Folkert Tim Julien Jason Liszka Matt Healy Mike Singleton Ted Power Bryan Bonczek Anoop Ranganath Mark Wyszomierski and so many more.

foursquare is all about helping you make the most of where you are. When you're out and about, we can help you decide where to go next, what to order, and let you know about all the interesting things...

Pumped to have Steven Rosenblatt join foursquare as our Chief Revenue Officer. Excited to help local merchants grow their businesses, and make us money in the process.

I don't know if I'd even want to use it, but Google's Project Glass HUD is the most exciting vaporware announcement in long time: https://plus.google.com/111626127367496192147/posts.

Explore has been completely redesigned for iPhone and Android

Would love to hear what you people think. Highlights:
- Recommendation algorithm has been completely revamped
- The UI is much cleaner and has a ton more photos
- You can search for recommendations by moving the map to an area you're going, not just what's nearby
- You can filter to see only places you frequent, places you've never been (try somewhere new), or places you're friends have been
Congrats to the awesome team including +Christen Duong +Ben Lee +Andrew Hogue +Nick Burton +sean salmon
Everyone needs recommendations on the go. Your dinner date just went swimmingly, now where's a great place to get dessert, or see some live music? Or maybe you're looking to grab lunch – shoul...

Awesome to see my old team at Google keep kicking ass. Great to see see the combination of item search finally happening with a visual UI and entities.

Hilarious recap from Grantland on a non-dork's view of going to SXSW interactive.

"No one (and I mean that in the least hyperbolic way possible) rolls deeper than the employees of a start-up... the image of 10-12 adults in matching shirts walking almost in formation around the Austin Convention Center committing acts of "I'm putting my poster/sticker over your poster/sticker" terrorism will forever be seared in my brain. It's been like three days of watching the final scene in Drumline/Stomp the Yard/Step Up 2, minus the dancing (so far) but plus the two-minute sales pitch."
