Wonderful hotel. Although I leave nearby, I stayed here recently because I was at a wedding held there and why not. Great atmosphere and accommodations. I will say that the dome is dirty and not up to Ritz-Carlton standards. It's something I've noticed walking by at other points. It is hideous for both guests and those residing nearby should be cleaned. I expect I will contact them directly about this.
By far my favorite hotel in Philadelphia. Yes, it's pricey, but you get what you pay for in terms of service, ambience and amenities. Where else are you served champagne while checking in, and your name is remembered by everyone? The restaurant is fine, but has a bit of a corporate (expense account feel). Luckily, you are only a few blocks from Rittenhouse Square and it's shops and fine dining. The Wanamaker Building is also very close by.
This is possibly the best hotel in all of the east coast. For weddings they will cater to all. For drinks in a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere they will give you all. For dining and the most comfortable stay I suggest you come to this place over any hotel in this area.
Had my wedding reception here in April and it was a dream. My cake was perfect... no, breathtaking. I gave them a photo of my dream cake and they reproduced it as a real cake (not a show cake)! Our 4-course dinner was served with excellence, and our guests were in awe of the entire experience. 6-stars if I could rate it as such!
