Official AospExtended Oreo

AospExtended Oreo 5.3!

How are you all doing? So after a very long wait, here we are with the Official release post.

We think that our sources are stable for Official Releases. We would like to add that bugs may arise from your device sources also so you should confirm it with your fellow users and your maintainers before coming to us.

Don't expect all the features that we had on the last version of AospExtended Nougat to be on the this Version of AospExtended Oreo. But we do have most of the features and especially those eye catching ones. These builds are optimized and are battery friendly. Oreo is fun to work on.
There are so many changes that Changelog won't do the justice.

We have not only completely rebased the ROM for more stability but we have also refined it. We have our own base now. All of the features work great without any major issues. In these 4-5 Months of time since the first Oreo release, we have been testing our sources all and out.

Not all of our official devices have been upgraded to Oreo. The maintainers are working hard to fix things up. They also have their lives, some are having exams and some are having personal issues. But that doesn't mean that we are dropping those devices. Majority of our devices will be getting AospExtended Oreo.

We would really like to thank the whole of the Android Community for helping us. And it was very good to see how things turned out to be after Oreo came out. Many devs and maintainers helped us by pushing patches and commits to our sources to make all of this very quick. We would also like to thank all of our testers for testing beta features and builds.

Not only we are bringing in AospExtended Oreo but many more things!

We removed Nougat builds to remove any confusion from our download portal so all Nougat builds will be directed to the original AFH folder. Go here, (https://www.aospextended.com/devices)
and select Nougat and then your device. You will be redirected to the Android File Host Folder link of your maintainer.

Oreo builds are available on our download portal for some of our devices and there are many devices which will be upgraded to Oreo soon!

Clean flashing is needed.

A huge round of applause for Shubham Singh please. He really worked hard on this version.
Also huge thanks to Jhenrique for fixing our download portal.

More updated links are there in the Google+ community info.

Changelog and feature list can be found here

Without any fuss lets get this started.

The first Android P Developer preview has been released recently. With the new version number came tons of changes to the Android OS, but one under-the-hood change made thousands of users upset: custom overlays can no longer be installed on Android, starting with the version number "P".

That means no more rootless Substratum. No more custom themes. It’s all gone.

Sign the petition now to let Google know that we want freedom! #FreeSubstratum

Reshare it to other communities!
