Within the framework of his science fiction stories, Heinlein repeatedly addressed certain social themes: the importance of individualliberty and self-reliance, the obligation individuals owe to their societies, the influence of organized religion on culture and government, and the tendency of society to repress nonconformist thought. He also speculated on the influence of space travel on human cultural practices.

For Baptist and later atheist R A Heinlein had interesting view of religion. "JOB..." is one of works dealing with belief in God...

+Leszek Dziędziewicki Thanks a million for that! I have not read any of those other books as far as I know. I dont think I have a lot of exposure to Heinlen. I am definitely going to follow your suggestion/agenda. Stranger in a Strange Land was a complete watershed for me. I still "quote" the idea of laughing at the misfortune of others lol even 25 years later. Again thanks!

Knock, knock Apple
"...iOS owners currently don’t have a lot of choices for smartwatches if they decide they don’t prefer the Apple Watch, and Android Wear support for iPhones would open up a wide range of devices to a new potential audience...."
Truth to be told iOS owners don't much of any choice. Period ☺
Android Wear getting iOS support could be the shot in the arm Google's smartwatch platform needs.

This is getting more hilarious than anybody could expect. Republican celebrity Sarah Palin endorses Donald Trump and proposes Allen West as a running mate. Entertainers Trump and Palin are known to most of us...
Who is Allen West? Well, check some of his views

“WE ALSO SHOULD BE CENSORING THE AMERICAN NEWS AGENCIES”: In response to the whistleblower website Wikileaks releasing thousands of pages of diplomatic cables, West declared: “And I think that we also should be censoring the American news agencies which enabled [Julian Assange] to do this and also supported him and applauding him for the efforts.”

“A THREAT TO THE GENE POOL”: In a July 2011 post on the website Red Country, West wrote, “I must confess, when I see anyone with an Obama 2012 bumper sticker, I recognize them as a threat to the gene pool.”

RELIGIOUS COEXISTENCE “WOULD GIVE AWAY OUR COUNTRY”: During a March 2011 town hall, West talked about the “Coexist” movement, saying of their bumper stickers: “Every time I see one of those bumper stickers, I look at the person inside that is driving. Because that person represents something that would give away our country. Would give away who we are, our rights and freedoms and liberties because they are afraid to stand up and confront that which is the antithesis, anathema of who we are.”

Sarah Palin Just Made a MAJOR TRUMP Announcement – This Would Change EVERYTHING!
Former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin just spoke to Extra about her views of Donald Trump. After her falling out with Fox News, it’s wonderful to see her …Share

Sarah desperately seeks the spotlight, and The Donald is the only candidate stupid enough to stand next to her in it.

😁😂😂
Unfortunately for them, things didn't exactly go according to plan. It soon became known that a single voter, University of Missouri student Jen Henderson, was registered to vote in the new CID. That means that she alone will get to decide whether or not to approve the sales tax increase. The CID has already gone into debt to finance planned improvements and was counting on the increased revenue from the sales tax increase
😁😁😁

Ah gerrymandering! Business owners try to remove all voters from business district but they forgot one college student
the city council created a special 'business' district. This district would be allowed to vote to create a half cent sales tax to pay for local improvements rather than using property tax increases. There is a special rule that says if no registered voters exist in an area, the property owners are allowed to vote BUT one U of M student registered at her CoMO address. And the county clerk has certified that she is the sole voter allowed in the up coming vote. Now the owners are barred from voting. Will have to raise taxes (if they want those district improvements) and raise them even more to pay off the debt they incurred to finance this deal. http://m.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/27/1415949/-Business-owners-try-to-remove-all-voters-from-business-district-but-they-forgot-one-college-student
This is a familiar thing in California, where most elective potitics has improved markedly, but these legacy “cities” and “districts” have olden-times grandfathered ability to basically run their own cloistered mafia dens.
Normally gerrymandering in a medium-sized town that doesn't even pertain to city council elections would be too down-...
