#PRINZpeople | Meet Dr Graeme Sterne, Chief examiner for the PRINZ APR programme and contract lecturer in Public Relations.
“If, like me, you consider PR to be working with people, then I have been in PR all my working life. My journey with PR as a practice began at World Vision New Zealand in 1999. It now includes contract work, teaching, a PhD, and speaking at conferences internationally. A major part of my life now is involved with ISMNZ, a Christian organisation that offers services to and interfaces with students from overseas in matters of life and faith.
I really enjoy the interactions with APR candidates each year. These are people who intentionally engage in the process of professional development and accountability. Their commitment and calibre are an inspiration. Teaching and coaching students in PR and Communication is also a pleasure and a privilege. It fits nicely with the mantra: 'He aha te mea o te ao? He tangata. He tangata. He tangata - what is the most important thing in the world? It is people. It is people. It is people."
