Calling all dancers! DECADANCE is seeking enthusiastic performers for our 15th season!

As a fusion social dance group, we offer choreos that are fun to watch--and even more fun to dance! We started at Stanford and now perform all over the Bay Area, including San Francisco's Ghirardelli Square, San Jose's Santana Row, community arts & wine festivals, and popular dance venues. Our styles span waltz, swing, salsa, hip hop, shag, and more!

Do you:
* Put flair and personality into your dancing?
* Want to expand your dance repertoire?
* Have some knowledge of basic couple dances OR movement training (anything from jazz dance to martial arts)?
* Learn quickly?
* Enjoy pushing limits and (most importantly!) having fun?

If so, join us at auditions for a low-pressure night of dancing that will leave you exhilarated! Bring comfortable clothes, dance shoes/socks, and water.

Feel free to ask any questions below!

We'd love to see you there!!

Current forecast: mostly sunny and 60 degrees. Most importantly, no rain.

Come see one of Decadance's largest shows of the season.  We'll be performing almost our entire repertoire, so you can see the huge variety of what we call "fusion social dance."

And for your convenience, we're performing the whole thing twice.
First, at noon in Ghirardelli Square, in the back by the big Christmas tree.
Then again at 3:15 at Pier 39, in the front by the (other) big Christmas tree.

The show runs about an hour, but as a street show you can of course pop in late or rush out early if you need to.  And naturally it's free.

Come out and watch us dance.  We promise to entertain, and we live for an audience.

Only three days away! Come join us for our Spring Show, featuring 14 original choreographies. Get your tickets online to avoid lines at the door...
Decadance originally shared:

It's crazy what a small world we live in these days. Ever think that the person sitting next to you could be your future husband or wife? What if you've already met and just don't know it? Call it crazy, call it destiny, call it what you will, at the end of the day, there's always a story and this is the story of all the crazy things that lead up to meeting the one you love for the rest of your life.

Decadance is the Bay Area's fusion social dance group. Come see our entire current repertoire in one spicy show! Featuring original choreographies to swing, waltz, hip hop, salsa, hustle, polka, Irish and Russian folk dancing, and more -- we'll bring you a unique dance experience that'll be fun for the whole family!

Tickets are available in advance at http://decadance-2013.eventbrite.com/ for $10 or at the door for $15 if still available.  Buy now before we sell out.

Performance is in Florence Moore Theater. Map:

You've probably seen plenty of Gangnam Style. But have you seen it  #throughglass ?

Choreography by Deca alumni +Becca Thal and +Jed Burgess.

I wore Glass during our +Decadance performance in Mountain View this weekend. Video and audio #throughglass.

(Yes, "Gangnam Style" should be over by now. Yes, it's still a crowd-pleaser every time!)

Introduction
Decadance is a social dance performance group that strives to make traditional couple-dancing less traditional. Our purpose is to be interesting and inspirational for all types of audiences, and to make our audiences want to dance as much as we do.

Collectively, our dance experience includes competitive ballroom dancing, ballet, modern, hip-hop and more, and our other performance experiences range from martial arts to musical theater to synchronized swimming.
