Three burglary suspects have died after a high-speed police pursuit through Glen Park in Gary, Indiana Wednesday morning ended in a wreck. Two of the men were dead at the scene. The third man was transferred to Christ Advocate Hospital in Oak Lawn with internal injuries and broken bones, where he passed away.

Two people died and one has been hospitalized after an apparent carbon monoxide leak in a multi-unit building in West Rogers Park early Sunday morning. Fire Department and Peoples Gas officials located a boiler exhaust system leak in the basement of the four-flat building, and that the tenants of  had been subjected to low level carbon monoxide exposure over an extended period of time.

According to a new Chicago Tribune analysis of current accident data that the city reported to the state, nearly 1,700 Chicago children from ages 5 to 18 were hit by vehicles within a block of a school from 2007 to 2011.

An Aurora woman who caused a 2009 head-on-collision that killed a man while she was driving under the influence has been sentenced to seven years in prison. She pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated DUI in Kane County court.

A woman was distracted by an altercation in her vehicle when she lost control and slammed into three parked cars on the South Side. Her boyfriend and his twin brother were pronounced dead at the hospital and the woman died at the scene. A teenage girl sitting behind the driver survived.

A teenager from Downers Grove was hit by a truck last year when he was riding his bike home. He suffered a traumatic brain injury. He passed away from his injuries on Sunday.

A truck driver was conducting a safety check on his truck in Bensenville, IL. He ended up getting pinned between the door of his truck and a post. He was killed. Officials are investigating the incident.

A man was injured in a residential driveway. He was hit by a car and taken to a hospital in Tinley Park. The accident occurred in the 1700 block of Ridgeland accident.

On the morning of New Years Eve, a Chicago cop was responding to a burglary in progress. On his way, he crashed his cruiser into another vehicle. The police officer was injured in the accident in the North Side Avondale neighborhood.
