Oh hey look at that a review of Escape from the Astral Spellhold. +Bryce Lynch said some nice things and also made some genuinely helpful criticisms. This is a great time for those, because I'm working on a SUPER DUPER DELUXE version with RAD ART through +Christopher Mennell's new company, In Search of Games.

Open Road Media has a few thousand ebooks for free download for the next couple days. Really wide variety, lots of great stuff. The first four pages of my gmail inbox are Amazon 1-click order details right now.

You probably want to get on this.

I made a thing. PWYW pdf, 16 pages. I'll do a print run at some point if enough people are interested. You know what to do.

So the bad news is that a high-res version of the art we were originally going to use on the first issue of Peridot does not appear to exist. The good news is that +Matthew Adams provided us with a backup plan.

Any opinions? I can take it.

I mean the guy designed it specifically as an awesome place to kill people.

I don't know how I missed this group til just now. I think I even commented on +Alex Mayo's thread where he was asking if a group like this already existed.

I'm currently working on some maps and the layout for a zine that I'm really excited about called the Peridot, written and edited by +David McGrogan. The OSR types in here may have seen a few sample pages. I also helped him a little bit with Yoon-Suin, just the map at the beginning and telling him what font to use for headlines (he insisted on doing the layout himself). And I drew a battletoad for Petty Gods.

Also working on a solo project called Nice Streets Above, set in the tunnels beneath Oppenheim during the 30 Years War. It really should be done by now but it's been growing like a cancer. Which is fine, because my illustration style really needs a little more time to catch up to my layout and mapping skills.

I've got a fancy schmancy degree in graphic design, but not a whole lot of experience under my belt just yet. I'm here to share what I know and learn what I don't. I still use Adobe CS6 because fuck CC, I get enough bills every month as it is and CS6 does everything I need it to.
