Außerdem finde ich es nett wenn mein Name in den Credits von OpenSource Projekten erscheint (-;

Dear Lazyweb,

I've encountered an very strange problem on one of my RedHat Servers running RHEL 6.3 (currently up2date).
The Hardware is an HP BL460C G7 connected with 2 Flex10 Modules.

I've created 4 virtual nic's (always two of them in an mode=1 failover bond)
eth0 -> active LAN
eth1 -> standby LAN
eth2 -> active Storage Metadata
eht3 -> standby Storage Metadata

Both using this bonding opts:
BONDING_OPTS="mode=1 miimon=100"

Here's the problem....i've get randomly this message:

Message from syslogd@HOSTNAME at Jan 14 23:52:57 ...
 kernel:do_IRQ: 16.109 No irq handler for vector (irq -1)

And after this message the server goes down.
When i connect to the console i can see that /proc/net/bonding/bond0 shows eth0 as active, but in "ifconfig eth1" i see many packets to this interface (they seem to be dropped then: dropped:22426)

I've tried with the network driver build in in RHEL 6.3 and the one from Emulex, no change.

Network Device:

Has someone in the Lazyweb a simular problem? Can someone give me a suggestion what to try next?

Thanks a lot!

+Steven Rostedt -> maybe you can tell me if there are any known bonding bugs in RHEL Kernel 2.6.32-279.11.1.el6.x86_64 (i know...it not RT..so lame, but maybe you've heard something).

It's been a while but figured I would post this since i came across this post while researching the issue myself.  This is a result of a hardware bug.
