Another fabulous venue to experience music. We have seen so many great performers at the Bowl....and my favorite seats are without a doubt the box seats. Pack a picnic and enjoy the company as well as the music. We prefer to take the bus from the park and ride.....makes the whole experience hassle free. Remember to book ahead and be on time. The bus leaves as the minute.

This theater is very accommodating - is spacious and has a good ambiance. Just the right distance to the stage for the audience to enjoy the show.

Saw Simon & Garfunkel@ the bowl in ' 04. I was 16 at the time, and, I sh#t you not, there was not a soul in the crowd under the age of 50, so needless to say, i stuck out like a sore thumb. Thankfully, i was with my pops@ the venue and ironically, being "with him" made me fit right in with the middle-aged burnouts and acid-brained hippie freaks still living the dream, most convinced they were back in 1967, and the only thing that had changed was their identifying characteristic-their "stickin' it to the man" long hair, had turned silver, was in the pre-silver, grey-ish stage (as was the case with my father, who, btw, was rocking a rainbow tie-dye Neil Young shirt from the show we attended a few months earlier). I could go on and on about how incredibly magical it was for a child born in 1988 to experience perhaps the closest re-creation of a 1960s atmosphere and how that night (and Many others like it) helped me understand the love and unification of an lsd-inspired stream to truly change the world and start a revolution that emphasized love for your fellow man over self gratification through materialistic, consumer-driven culture, but that's a WHOLE 'nother story, perhaps best saved for a more relevant time and place...I digress. In summary, the performance was absolutely amazing, couldn't have picked a more appropriate band than Simon & Garfunkel to emphasize the acoustics and sound-rich qualities of the Hollywood Bowl. All in all, I give it 5 stars, and would recommend it to anyone, whether your melodic drug of choice is Pantera or Justin Fu#king Bieber...

An incredible place to Hear music. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Bringing your own wine and picnic makes for a lovely, old time feel. Like stepping back in time. Their jazz series is wonderful. Nothing compares to a summer night here.

There is not even 1 weekend we would not go and play bowling at Hollywood Bowl. I love Hollywood Bowl, it's fun and everything is perfect there. Their foods, their drinks, their customer service. everything

If you can afford to purchase tickets at the floor level, this venue is top-notch. For those of us living on a budget, we're forced to sit at a distance that is much further from the stage than a real music fan would care to be. Unfortunately, the seating for cheaper tickets means you are forced to sit on a rickety wooden bench with almost zero back support. Although I prefer to stand during most concerts, this venue does not lend itself well to doing so since people behind you may opt to sit for the duration of the show. I don't want to be perceived as the insensitive concert-goer by standing directly in front of the seated patrons behind me (I'm 6'4"). And the parking is horrendous! If you need to leave early, you better have parked in a paid lot because the parking Hollywood Bowl offers is stacked parking, which means your car is stuck until everyone has left the show. I've seen Vampire Weekend, The Shins, and Belle and Sebastian at The Hollywood Bowl. I'm sure they all had great shows, but I wouldn't know because I failed to bring my binoculars. This venue has a rich history and has seen thousands of legendary musicians grace its stage. Unfortunately, this is not enough to bring me back. Since I prefer to actually see the performers on stage, coupled with my ability to only afford the cheap seats, I will NOT be returning to the Hollywood Bowl. If they ever offer GA tickets, I'll be the first in line.
