We hope you enjoyed this bit of Australian nature, which we took on one of our tours! Seeing a family like this is very common in our National Parks where this video was taken and that you regularly see mobs of emus crossing the road or like these trotting down the road. The speed limit in the Port Lincoln National Park is 40km/h and for everyones information, when we came across this mob, they were already on the trot and we dropped down to an idle so to not spook them. If they were really stressed or scared, they would've been taken the opportunity to turn left into the clearing at about the 12 second mark of the video. If they were scared, I can assure you that they would be running so much quicker which would cause the family to actually scatter and separate as a mob which did not happen. The native vegetation on either side of the road is very thick so this is why the mob chose to stay in the middle of the road so that they would eventually and in their own time, find an appropriate place to exit which is also very common. Showcasing native wildlife in their natural habitat is something that we regularly do on our tours and our guests on this occassion loved this unexpected, close up experience of nature. I just want to reassure you that at no stage were any of these birds injured, affected, bruised, battered or lost any feathers. Cheers!

Anytime is a great time to travel to beautiful #Port Lincoln but members of the Adelaide Mandarin Family Group spent the recent long weekend here in our company. As always, there was plenty of #seafood, lots of interacting with wildlife on land & underwater & some late night parties!
