Yeah now the memory chips hold more than the early computer hard drives, so that's progress too...

In commemoration of the 101st anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic and the legacy of Women and Children First, I would like to share this poem that I wrote a year ago:

True Chilvary
by Sophia Smithe

“Let the women and children be first”
Rose the courageous cry
From the throngs of men aboard the ship
Who were destined that day to die

Their hearts were saddened by the grim proposition
Yet they clung to their manhood and stood
Willing and ready to give their own lives
As a man of true chivalry should

Nary a word of dissent was heard
Upon the forlorn decks
As scores of men boldly met their deaths
And were buried at sea with the wreck

A century past, and the men of our day
Have all but forgotten the call
Of “Women and Children first, Gentlemen;
Let not one of them fall”

The sacrifice of Titanic’s heroes
Must shine out to the end
“Greater love hath no man than this:
That he lay down his life for his friend”

That's wonderful, +Sophia Smithe , and your comment is very timely too.  Ladies must not let themselves be shamed into doing things in which they don't belong.  I was in a situation like that once were someone wanted me to prove that I was as good as a boy, and my mom helped me do the right thing anyway.  Praise God for Moms too.

This new film from +Ray Comfort is definitely worth watching! It challenges the worldview of those who would deny the existence of God and replace Him with a "scientific" theory.

Through interviews with evolutionary scientists and college students, Ray Comfort once again confirms the fact that all men have faith...they either worship and serve the creature, or they worship and serve the Creator. Plus, he effectively uses the Evolution vs. God discussion as a powerful method for sharing the gospel.

Please watch and share! :D

Today marks America's 61st National Day of Prayer.  May we as a Nation truly humble ourselves before our rightful Lord and conform ourselves to His holy Law.  Then, and only then, will we see His blessings upon our land.

“Prayer is not an attempt to get God to agree with you or provide for your selfish desires, but that it is both an affirmation of His sovereignty, righteousness, and majesty and an exercise to conform your desires and purposes to His will and Glory” ~John MacArthur~
