Imagination Rendered is Poised to Release James Clinton’s Second Book
Date Line: 10 - 1 - 2014
James Clinton has released his debut novel, Tales of Airn Books I – III, and will be releasing his second novel, Tales of Airn Books IV – VI, this October. The books are a unique and action packed rendition of original fireside fairy tales. Tales of Airn Books I – III are already available through Amazon.com and Books IV – VI will be available October 1, 2014.
Clinton began the Tales of Airn series with a desire to return to the days of storytellers who entertained their patrons during an evening of feasting. These storytellers told the history of their tribe with heroes and heroines as people thrust into extraordinary circumstances. The stories were often morality tales disguised in adventure. Tales of Airn Book I: What Should Be, Will Be, was first created as a one-off story and was turned into a theatrical dance production. Many people read it and asked Clinton when Book II would be ready. This inspired the first series of nine books collected into three novels.  Each story is designed to be read over a short period either alone or as a bedtime story and may be best enjoyed if a child read the story to his or her parents. Clinton’s intent is to inspire a sense of kinship and unity between people and families outside our fast paced technologically complicated times.
James Clinton has spent over thirty years making his living in the theatre world both professionally and academically and has also stepped briefly in the film and television business behind the scenes in “Cookie’s Fortune, directed and produced by Robert Altman, and Miss Evers’ Boys, produced by and starring, Laurence Fishburn. He also has three produced plays. Clinton has worked as a director, writer, producer, and actor, stage manager, set designer, stage combat choreographer, prop designer, set decorator, and scenic painter. He has also taught these subjects on the college and university levels. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Set Design and a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the University of Mississippi as well as a Master of Fine Arts in Staging Shakespeare from Exeter University in Britain where he also became a certified actor/combatant with the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat.
