UPDATE: I've been a productive little bee, working on several projects and creating my website, which should be ready by the end of the month. Fingers crossed. In addition, I have taken to strengthen my knowledge of risk management by taking the World Bank Risk Management for Development Course. I have just completed my final project, which I have put in website form. I have loads of writing to paste into the site before it is graded, but here is a preview.

I am very excited to share my thoughts on this year's Prix Pictet, which highlights and champions two areas I am interested in: #photography and #sustainability. This year's exhibition focused on #Consumption, a topic I have worked on and brought up on many occasions through The Conscience Collective; it is also reflected in my current challenge as I Live Below the Line. It is an area that provokes much thought on how consumption and climate change are very much interconnected, and how documenting the ways in which we consume provide much needed 'food' for thought. I am finally visiting the exhibition this week, before the Finalist's Exhibition at the V&A ends on June 14th, and would definitely encourage those of you in London who have some free time to go visit. #Belowtheline #PrixPictet #KofiAnnan

Today is the first day of my £1/day challenge. I have bought my initial groceries which came up to £3.30 for the week so far. This means I have a whole £1.70 to play with. On my wish list, I desperately want to add bread or crackers and something sweet to the list, but something has got to give.

Already, I have skipped two meals, and am fully realising how difficult it is to not only live on £1/day, but on less than one meal a day. I am posting recipes, and charting my progress on the following link.

Join me for the 5 Day Live Below the Poverty Line Challenge, and raise money for a cause you are passionate about.

I will be living on £1/day for 5 days in support of my charity Progressio. Live Below the Line demonstrates the problems of poverty, inequalities and hunger in a concrete way, while raising money to address the problem. Take a look at my page, read my personal blog on why and how I am living below the poverty line for such a great cause. Looking forward to your support.
