What Does Ankle Replacement Recovery Look Like?

For four to five days post-operation of an ankle replacement, you should rest, stay off your feet and elevate your ankle. Ten to fourteen days after surgery your stitches will be removed, and your ankle put into a removable cam walker that will be worn inside your shoe. A range of motion exercises will start around day fourteen, but you will still need to use crutches. If you are healing appropriately around week six, you will start bearing some weight. Eight weeks after surgery you should be able to walk on your own.

What Are Common Causes to Hammertoes?

Depending on what types of shoes you wear, you could cause a permanent imbalance in your toe's muscles and connective tissue, which can lead to hammertoes. Additionally, you can develop hammer toes due to toe injury or trauma, arthritis or bunions, inherited foot deformity, and older age. You can also develop mallet toe, which is a similar issue that can form at the joint that is closest to your toenail.

Why You Should Skip the OTC Wart Removal Treatments
(http://ow.ly/3O7M30mRIRb)

Not all warts need to be professionally removed, but opting for professional removal gives you a few benefits. Whether you choose for cryotherapy, laser treatments, or topical ointments, professional wart removal treatments typically remove the wart much faster than the OTC methods. Quick removal eliminates the pain that you feel when you walk on the wart; quick removal also reduces the likelihood that you'll spread the wart to other members of your household.

Wart removal is available at The Frazier Foot and Ankle Center. Contact us using the link provided to find out which treatment option is best for you.
