Excellent sandwiches. Cappuccinos vary a bit by the barista, but are never bad. Atmosphere is a little eclectic, but staff and especially owner seem eager to please. Only aspect dropping it to 4 stars is the price which is acceptable but will be a little high for some.

Weak, flavorless coffee, stale muffin, all grossly overpriced. Good a/c. Tables not well cleaned. A big hangout for Democrat extremists.

Substandard dishes and coffee don't sound like us at all, and cleanliness is a top priority, so I'd have loved to have known exactly when you came by so I could check in with my team about this. As for your comments on our patrons, everyone is welcome at our place, and we feel it's unfair to judge an establishment or its customers based on politics or otherwise. We'd love to welcome you back to show you what we're really all about. -Toan, Owner

It's a well run establishment. I've seen a performance there and have eaten/drunk there a handful of times. I think it's over priced is all. Example: a small cookie and regular bottle of water will cost you almost $6.

I'm so happy to hear you've enjoyed hanging out with us, Gabe! I'm sorry price is a bit of a pain point for you, though -- all of our food and beverages are made from the best available ingredients, and we believe the quality is worth it. I hope to have you back again soon for another performance and cup of joe! -Toan, Owner

Amazing hang out spot and meeting venue with tasty sandwiches, fabulous coffee, a friendly proprietor and team in a charming location with speedy internet. (How's that for a run on sentence?) A Charlottesville "must visit."

Grossly overpriced. They make the espresso first then steam milk resulting in dead shots and bitter espresso. Go to Starbucks or Shenandoah Joes instead of supporting this overpriced local establishment.

Lovely atmosphere, staff was kind and welcoming. We got cappuccinos, each of which were very well made. Unfortunately, our shared 'create your own sandwich' was very disappointing. Baguette was so stale you could knock it against the table; the portions of cheddar cheese, lettuce, cucumber, and tomato were almost nonexistent. The almost $20 price for the three items left us disappointed that we didn't think of Bodo's down the street. We will almost definitely lunch there next time, instead. Come here for coffee and pastry, save your lunch for elsewhere.

I'm so happy the atmosphere, service, and cappuccinos were right up your alley, Emily! However, I'm disappointed to hear the sandwich you tried wasn't up to par; "stale" bread and minimal toppings isn't what we're about at all, and I'm so sorry that was your experience. I hope you'll give us another chance -- we usually hear much better things about our lunch, and I'd welcome the chance to show you what we can do! -Toan, Owner

My wife and I shared lunch here a couple of days ago and very much enjoyed it. The sandwiches were fresh and very appetizing (we both had French Salute sandwiches made with ham, brie, and French baguette bread). The coffee was delicious. Susan had frozen mocha, and I had cappuccino. The service was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. We highly recommend C'ville Coffee.
