This is my go-to place in NY for Mexican food. The service is great and the overall atmosphere is nice too - lots of seating but not too crowded and not too noisy either, even when it's full. They have a nice outdoor seating section as well. The food is so delicious - you really can't go wrong with anything you pick, but my favourites are the Mexican corn, the guacamole, and the steak tacos or enchiladas. Everyone I've ever gone with has loved their food as well. Great tequila & margarita menu as well. Highly recommend!

Have gone here a few times. The food is delicious and fresh. The guacamole is the best you'll find in Hell's Kitchen. The only time I've had better guacamole was in Mexico. Staff is always courteous and friendly. Good waiter service. The décor is very authentic as well. Definitely will return in the near future.

To hear our guacamole matches up to the stuff you've had in Mexico is a serious compliment, Shahan. Looking forward to seeing you next time you're in the area. - Mike D. - Director of Operations

If there was one reason to visit Astoria Queens, this would be it. While you read the reviews on here understand that there are a lot of haters out there. I read things like: "Oh they skimp out on the meat!" "They don't have a huge selection of ingredients!" Ok, so whoever writes things like that or that Sal Kris wipes them out is just plain ignorant. Sorriso is one of the ONLY delis you will find around that still makes around 90% of their own meat. In a world of Boar's Head delis this place stands out as a survivor of a lost generation before pre-packaged factory made meat. When I eat here I can envision what it might have been like to eat at a deli over 50 years ago. Real butchers making homemade meats and sausages then slicing them up to put on sandwiches. Now are you telling me you would still rather have a sandwich made with the same meat you can get at any deli anywhere in NYC? If so you are probably part of the reason why this city has lost much of its amazing culture and been replaced with "Mall Town" style scenery. Now, that's not to say I don't still love other delis. Sal Kris, you will forever be the most obscenely large sandwich I have ever eaten. And Othello I will always love your large selection of ingredients...even if you do mess up my orders (See review of Othello's). But even still none of those can boast making fresh home made products in the store like Sorriso. So for all those of you curious: Come out to Queens! It's really not as scary as you think.

Hey there -- I think you wrote this review for the wrong place. We appreciate the kind words but we are located in Midtown West Manhattan and are a Mexican Restaurant. But I'm sure the real business would love to hear your thoughts! Mike D. - Director of Operations

So glad we came across this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious! I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the wait time came be rough, but that's just because everyone else has figured out how awesome this restaurant is.
Response from the owner - 4 months ago
I'm so glad you came across us too, Hillary-Marie! I hope one day we can earn that fifth star from you, because as a team, we're always striving to offer the best possible service experience. Nevertheless, I'm glad the food is always on point for you, and I can't wait to make future visits even better. Can't wait! - Mike D. - Operations Manager

Really good food! Reasonable prices and they don't skimp on the alcohol when you order drinks! (You know... like some other cheapo places that really water down your drinks with LOTS of ice and juice instead of what you actually want in it!)
Response from the owner - 6 months ago
Sebastian, glad we can make those cocktails just right for ya! Nobody likes a watered down drink, especially us, so we wouldn't want to do it to anyone else. See you again soon for another round. Cheers! - Don
