Henbit (Lamimium ampliexicaule L.) is likely coming up in your Central Texas yard about now. It is a wild edible, so you can add it to soups, salads, sandwiches, smoothies etc. Even though it is in the mint family it actually tastes more like kale. Medicinally, If you a have a fever, Henbit is a diaphoretic herb and can help break the fever without raising your temperature.
