Response from the owner - 9 months ago
Patrick, I am sorry that you and your wife are both upset that you are experiencing a maintenance issue on your roof. As I explained to her this morning; you were not the original homeowner (we do not have nor did we ever have a contract or warranty with you) and even if you were the original homeowner, you would be almost a year
outside of the warranty period.
Warranties, in general, do not last indefinitely for every possible situation, nor do they apply to a second owner. For instance, if your friend bought a brand new, zero mileage car from the local dealership with a 5 year non-transferable bumper to bumper warranty and then sold it to you at year 7, you would not hold the dealership liable for replacing the headlight bulbs when the warranty was never assigned to you nor applicable to the situation.
Again, we are truly sorry for your frustration, but we have been neither dishonest nor dishonorable.
