Minecraft is a simple building game, a relaxing game. Some people find relaxation with call of duty online, some may find FLOw or FLOWER to be amazing relaxing games but minecraft you can build, you can farm, you can explore, you can go mining for ores and fight monsters. There's a ending albeit irrelevant since there's no story at all. It's a open world sandbox rpg without a story. The game is what YOU make it. If you didn't like the game fine but that doesn't mean it's overrated it just means it's not for you. Millions LOVE minecraft and for good reasons. The PC versions are always going to be superior due to the enormous amounts of mods for it, including Dragon Ball Z mod, Mo Creatures, Timber Mod, RPG mods.............etc it changes the game completely.
GTAIV is a hit or miss i'll agree with that however I cannot honestly call it overrated. Story was good, writing, graphics, characters were all very well crafted by Rockstar. They never disappointed on that. the only issues with GTAIV is the cop radius system being bleh and the game physics were not great for car handling. GTAV is apparently much improved in some aspects as people think the story is 10x better, online MP is also pretty damn fun too.
As for LBP again it's not for everyone. It's targeted to certain crowds which again doesn't mean it's overrated it just means it's not for you.
Whether a game isn't for you should only be known after you give it a chance not before. If you never played the game you can't have an opinion that it's overrated. I initially thought Demon Souls, Dark Souls wasn't my type of game either when someone told me when you die you lose everything but after properly watching gameplays of it on YT i realized the only thing you lost were souls and humanity. That's it so I jumped and bought both and now they're 2 of my favorite RPG's of previous gen(PS3/360). If you gave a game a chance and you couldn't get into it then fair enough it's not your cup of tea but that doesn't make them overrated or not worth the 90's must have tag.
