Outstanding. I love this term biohacker. I've always wondered why the price of lab gear didn't seem to go down over time, and traditional explanations of demand didn't really satisfy. Obviously it wasn't a function of manufacturing costs either.

Makes you wonder how much groups like the innocence project are being shafted by some sort of monopoly when they pay 20 large for DNA testing.
