We are artists because God is an Artist. He created the art of nature, the drama of life, and the music of the universe. And he created us in his image. Imitating the Creator is not a sin, it is our purpose.

Random assorted pictures. Some of which have cool light or entertaining subjects. No rhyme or reason.

A church is not a building. It is a congregation and a community. But our church has always harbored a unique attachment to the building itself. Our people built and maintained it. We have poured ourselves into this property. The love we have for each other, this community, and our God created and sustained the walls around us. Here we worshiped, prayed, taught, learned, ate, worked, played, grew, sang, studied, praised, and loved. God’s people have been fostered and raised here. And they have subsequently been sent forth to His glory.

I wanted this to be a photo elegy—not of architecture and assets but of a spiritual home. The future of this property remains uncertain but I attempted to capture, as best I could, the emotions and memories inherent to a place where, in one way or another, all of us have grown up.

Photos from our outing to Fulton today. Saw the lock and dam, windmill, and Heritage Canyon. Dad got some photos for his book. I took along the PowerShot and grabbed a few snapshots of my own.

I just got a notification for this autoawesome ( the source photo would have been from march). Apparently "crappy instagram filter" is an autoawesome now...

+Cassius Wright, I didn't know these. Are you sure you can trust that animal of yours? I'm sure I've heard you say he does #10 at least. I think you should be worried.

It's a little late for Christmas but I thought you all might like to see what Glass can do with hand bells. This was about 2 or 3 rehearsals before we were ready to perform. (The cyborg look was distracting the other ringers so I didn't get another chance).
Merry Christmas from the +Community Ringers of Lombard!
This is "Change Ring Prelude on Divinum Mysterium" by Fred Gramann and published by Lorenz. I shot the video #throughglass at one of our rehearsals earlier this fall. Enjoy!

I did get a few strikes today. This isn't one of them but it's the best throw of those I recorded (I tended to miss those I recorded). Scored 104 on my first game and 98 on my second. Today was the first time I've ever thought of bowling as something I could succeed at with practice. #throughglass
