This place in under remodel, and with the cluelessness of it's incompetent staff that struggle with communication and customer service, will gladly put you on a floor where remodeling is taking place, then when you question them on their room selection for you, they become as friendly as herpes. Avoid this place with it's 'falling apart rooms' and the, well I'll just say it, the a-holes working up front. No room service, no breakfast and this is supposed to be 4 stars....more like -4 stars. Serious people, there are plenty of great hotels in the area, I just made a horrible choice.

As a Platinum Elite member, I stay at a lot of Holiday Inn hotels. In general, I found them much better than I expected. However, this one has facilities and service that are sub-par and not worth it. Here's my experience and why it deserves such a low ranking: - On checkin, they didn't provide for the typical Elite member points or gift bag - The entire third floor elevator lobby and hallway hadn't been vacuumed in weeks - On three separate occasions I asked they take care of the really bad debris there, over 5 nights, they never bothered to clean it. - The shower drove me nuts. It was too cold or too hot. Sometimes it was cold at one setting and then hot at the same setting. Needless to say, I took some short showers. I will say that there were a few bright spots. - Building maintenance had occasion to help me with a bad key. The engineer was fantastic. She tested it and then got me a new key - Breakfast, while not free, was good and the kitchen and wait staff were great.

I want to say thank you to Aaron and Cornelius for being so kind to me. Checking in actually brightened my day! After the long week of coming to Tennessee to start my new life and my home falling through literally a day before closing and having my job start in the next day. They welcomed madness and listened to my bantering and tried their best to help me. I have been here two nights now. The cleaning ladies are all very nice. The hotel is meticulously clean. I have read the negative reviews on this hotel and those people must have been zonked out of their minds to find something wrong with this staff or the hotel in all! I must say I have traveled a lot in my 44 years and never have I enjoyed a hotel like this one. I can not say enough good things about staying here. I will recommend anyone coming to or through Nashville, this is where you need to stay.

Dirty. Looks like this place was built and hasn't been maintained since. No warm water in the shower for almost 40 mins. My room had trash on the floor from previous guests

I recently redeemed a load of points to stay a weekend at this establishment only to be amazed at the condition of the facility! The lobby was pleasing and welcoming however a great deal of the staff were clueless! All were very pleasant and nice just didn't have a clue about what they were doing. Upon getting upstairs to our room from an elevator that had no air flow and was the only one operating out of four in a hotel that was sold out for the weekend we embarked upon a room that could have easily been in the Bates Motel! The keys didn't work and it took two attempts a manager coming to see that we clearly knew how to use the key to a kind housekeeper who finally just said I'll let you in even though I'm not supposed to. 45 mins later we gained entry to our room :) We then had someone from engineering come to repair the door lock which we had to wait on because we had no operating keys. The room was dark, dreary, old and very uninviting! There wasn't a refrigerator or microwave for guest convenience. This by far was the dirtiest and most uninviting room I have ever stayed at in a Holiday Inn, I always thought their standards were higher. From the hall ways that are stifling hot to the peeling wall paper and out dated rooms and bathrooms this was not a pleasant experience to say the least. Oh, and don't let me forget that we rented one movie and were charged for two and when I brought that to their attention was told Oh, that happens all the time! Really? Wonder how many people don't catch it. Very disappointed. I guess unless I am in Greenville, SC I won't be staying with Holiday Inn anymore. The Greenville, SC location has me spoiled with their customer service, attention to detail, cleanliness and over all standards!

It's fine but no breakfast. The tub didn't drain well and there was a stain on the bathroom floor..I kept wondering , what in the world was that??? The bed was pretty uncomfortable, the mattress felt broken down or something, luckily there was another bed with the mattress a little more firm. Everything was clean and at least it feels safe. I accidentally left a library book right on the bathroom counter...they did not notify me about it.

Okay- Get ready for an actual honest review: I was in Nashville from April 22-27th for a work conference at the Opryland Resort. Our organization had a bunch of rooms reserved at the Opryland hotel, but I registered late and didn't get a room there. Instead, I got a room at the Holiday Inn Airport. I was honestly nervous due to all of the negative reviews I had read, however, I was impressed when I arrived. The shuttle from the airport was there when I arrived (by luck maybe, but you can call the lobby and they will send a shuttle if they aren't there when you arrive). The lobby area is nice, and when I checked in, I didn't have to wait long. The staff was polite and courteous. Now on to the rooms. My room was a normal hotel room, and was clean when I arrived. The bed was made, and there wasn't any bugs or critters visible. There were a few small stains on the carpet, but nothing repulsive. It had a king sized bed, which was comfy (I like a firmer mattress) and had your typical dressers with a flat screen tv, a desk, a chair with an ottoman, as well as a safe and iron/ironing board. All of the furniture looked nice and rather new. The only complaint I have is the bathroom. It is typical, everything you would expect from a hotel bathroom. However, the only issue was that the shower did not drain as fast as I would have liked, causing me to stand in a tub full of water. I did not call the front desk about it, but I am sure they would have fixed it if I did. The hotel was quite quiet while I was there, and I never heard a peep from any other guests. There is no free breakfast- it's $10.99, but there is a Waffle House within walking distance. Overall, I would stay there again, so please don't let other people's reviews scare you away. Is it a 5 star? No, but it is definitely acceptable.

Terrible. Any chimp with partial motor control could make the WiFi usable. Apparently they don't have a chimp available. The $15 awesome burger they tout as great? It's a frozen Bubba burger. Skip this place for the Holiday at the actual Oprey, it's worth the small price difference.
