Please help or pass on to someone who can!
This little one was abandoned by a family under investigation of Children's Protective Services who abandoned her alone in her own filth in a shed behind the house they left just a few days before she was found by my daughter's friend who is an intern with CPS. The friend asked Animal Control what would happen to this little one, and because she is pit bull she would have been put to sleep had they picked her up. The friend asked if she could keep the puppy, and was told she could. However, the friend was unable to keep it at her mother's house, and my daughter has stepped in to provide a temporary foster home to this sweet little one. She is about 7 weeks old and has not had her tail or ears docked. Therefore, we are assuming that she was meant to be kept as a pet. She is very, very sweet and gets along great with other dogs. She is also very smart, and has some house training already. My daughter called a number of local shelters, and they are all full and cannot take her. She is going to contact some rescue groups as well. In the meantime, we are looking to find a good home for her once she recovers from her trauma a bit. My daughter is taking good care of her, and is getting her shots done on Friday, and nursing her back to health. If anyone near Ohio would be interested in providing a loving caring home to this little one, please let us know. While pitbulls are not my choice breed, I know that it is not the fault of the dogs, and that they can make very good loving pets, and know people with pitbulls that are great pets. However, here in Ohio one must carry liability insurance of around $100k in coverage if they keep a pitbull or other "vicious" breed. My daughter already has two dogs, and I have three so therefore, even if we wanted to we are unable to provide a permanent home to her, but will foster her until a good loving home is found. If interested, please let us know or if you know a rescue group for the breed near Ohio, please drop me a note.

My sister is on her way to Pasadena to work decorating the Roy Rogers float for the Rose Parade, Roy would have turned 100 this year, they say the float will be flanked by 100 Golden Palomino's and will carry the real stuffed Trigger and Bullet, They had to get special permission to allow the stuffed animals on the float since they were not made from flowers.. I think it will be the last float in the parade .
