Alum Spotlight: Samantha Planas, Systems Engineer at Fresenius Kabi

Sam’s fondest memory of the MEM program is the coordination with her peers. Whether developing a marketing strategy for a healthcare advertising company, strategically managing an automotive company or patenting technology for consumer products, she enjoyed working with engineers from different industries and backgrounds to deliver an end product that leveraged each of their strengths.

Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Yuji graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He spent his summer as an Asia Pacific Portfolio Strategy intern at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Northwestern opened a time capsule that was placed in the Kresge Centennial Hall cornerstone in 1954, revealing on Wednesday several items sealed within the building.
