360 Video Capturing Post-Storm Damage
This is more than just a 360 panoramic still photo using apps such as 360 Panorama or Photaf.
This is an interactive 360 panorama video. It's a device called GoPano Micro that connects to your iPhone or iPad.
It's not cheap but can really spice up your field coverage for web and social media content. Imagine heading to a community where a tornado has recently struck. Using this device can really provide the user at home an even more compelling visual of the tornado's wrath.
This is a video from 2011's "Snowtober". Play the video then click on the window and spin around with your mouse. You'll quickly realize the "cool" factor of this device.
Unfortunately, not available for Android at this time.
For a MUCH more expensive device you can purchase the GoPano Plus which connects to any camera (not just Apple devices).
Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 4.2 or later.
