Friday, I travelled to Notre Dame to watch daughter Ashley compete in an indoor track meet. As I left the athletic center, it was dark and cold but off in the distance was the Hesburgh Library and the famous "touchdown Jesus" mural lit for all to see.

As a Christian and an educator in Christian higher education I was moved by that symbol of our savior and faith. If there is a more powerful architectural example of integrating faith and learning than this in our country, I would like to see it. A wonderful treat.

This picture is from a trip to ND for another meet in February 2012.
