Disc herniations can be reversed with proper postural correction. Once the spin is in alignment the pressures that cause herniations are eliminated and the disc can migrate back into a more normal position.

Even after a hip replacement surgery, patients can experience hip and back pain. Making sure your pelvis is level is often overlooked in post-surgical care.

Do you have pain when walking? Walk towards a full length mirror and check 3 things – Does your head sway from side to side, are your arms still, do your hips seem rigid? If so your gait may be a problem - the way you walk may be the source of your pain.

Many cases of frozen shoulder can be treated quickly and without surgery. Mobilizing the right muscles and connective tissue can free up the joint in a natural way.

Feeling "backed up" after a great Thanksgiving meal? Slow movement of the bowels can result in uncomfortable constipation. A collapsed chest posture can be a contributing factor by compressing the colon. Postural correction and organ massage can get things moving.

On your plane, train or auto trip over the hills and through the woods to Grandma’s house for the holidays, your back and neck may start to complain. A seated position with hips flexed and head forward can be the reason. Take breaks from the road, stand up and move around to get stiff muscles moving – then see your Neurosomatic Therapist when you get home!

The Center for Neurosomatic Studies is the only massage school in the country to offer certifications in LMT and Neurosomatic Therapy (NST). NST is an integrative form of manual therapy that identifies and corrects structural and biomechanical patterns in the body that cause chronic pain. Traditionally, chronic pain is treated in a way that addresses only one aspect of the condition. Whether it be massage therapy, physical therapy, or medicinal pain management, these methods fail to fully address the soft tissue causes of pain. NST, in contrast, uses careful analysis of dysfunctional postural and movement patterns to create a comprehensive therapy program that includes the five stages of rehabilitation: Eliminating Muscle Spasm Restoring Flexibility Restoring Proper Biomechanics Increasing Muscle Strength Increasing Muscular Endurance The purpose of NST is to not only to eliminate the pain, but educate the patient on ways to prevent recurrence of the injury. The need for NST therapists is increasing. Contact CNS and start a rewarding career in Healthcare. Their clinic has helped me tremendously! Thanks CNS.

The Center for Neurosomatic Studies has taken my life in a whole new direction. I'm a student of the first class and I can't even describe how lucky I feel daily for the opportunity to learn about the body the with such detail and enthusiasm. The wisdom and clarity my instructors, Kevin Wade, Randy Clark, and Paul St. John offer are like no other. My background as a professional modern dancer gave me the chance to experience many different types of massage and bodywork from all over the world and I can honestly say these guys are the crème de la crop. They KNOW the body and they will teach you to know it too! CNS presents a well rounded program offering everything from advanced Neurosomatic techniques, to writing a good business plan, to the opportunity to conduct research. I am confident I will graduate this program with the necessary tools to be a confident, precise and effective therapist that will touch the lives of many people. Thanks to the Center for Neurosomatic Studies, my life's direction has expanded towards a beautiful, fulfilling, challenging new career!
