Squatting: Another Addition to Your Kid’s Milestones

At 12-18 months, your tot has already been bending over their toys when picking them up. Eventually, squatting can be an additional item on their milestone checklist. But you know what, you can actually assist them with this. Try these activities:

- Help them to bend their knees when they stoop to pick something up.
- Show them how to squat.
- Give them toys to pick up so they can exercise on squatting.

There are plenty of room for learning when you bring your toddler at Montessori Kid's Land Academy Preschool.

A Climbing Toddler? Celebrate Instead of Panic

We understand how you feel when you get a little panicky in seeing your toddler at the third step on the stairs. Don’t wonder how they got there. Climbing becomes their forte at around 12-24 months. Instead of panicking, stay cheerful to support their confidence. But of course, implement these safety tips:

- Provide soft pillows they can safely land on.
- Securely anchor tall shelves to prevent from falling.
- Reduce their access to riskier climbing areas.
- Install barriers at the foot and top of stairs.

For safe avenues in further preschool learning, visit us at Montessori Kid's Land Academy Preschool.
