Spring Break is here, but it’s still -10 outside and snowy in Calgary. The kids are antsy to get out of the house so off to Color Me Mine we go for an afternoon of pottery painting fun! I’ve painted at other pottery places before, but this is my first time at Color Me Mine. I was impressed by the great selection of pottery pieces available and there was so much to choose from that the kids were picking a piece, changing their mind, and then changing it again! They even had licensed character pottery pieces like Snoopy, Peanuts, Hello Kitty, and Monsters Inc! We finally settled on a fairy riding a unicorn piece (Can it get any more girly than that?) and my daughter had so much fun picking out paint colours. The staff working at the Color Me Mine Kensington location was a huge help explaining how to get the most vibrant colour from the paint, how long the whole process takes, and she was came around to change the water frequently. She even showed my daughter the kiln and explained how the whole process worked to fire the pottery. We had a great afternoon and I can’t wait to see the finished result!

If you're looking for a home inspector in Calgary then Randy is your man! He is thorough, concise, and answered all the questions I had during my inspection. He had all the latest high-tech equipment, including an infrared camera, to detect heat loss and inspect the integrity of the insulation and his report was very visual and easy to understand. I highly recommend Mr. Home Inspections for anyone looking for a pre-buying home inspection in Calgary.

My son started there a few weeks ago after having some trouble adjusting to a dayhome. He's in the infant room and he seems to love it so far! The gals who take care of him are very loving and he rarely cries when I leave him. The Director has been very friendly and willing to work with me on a part time basis and so far I'm very happy with the daycare.

I only buy my gluten free basics from Sandra's now. The prices are great and shopping online is easy with the option to pick up at the store or have it delivered. If you buy your staples by the case you get an even further discount for buying in bulk. If you've never been, then you'll want to check this out for all your gluten free needs.

Love this place! They are a thrift store, but more like a boutique with the atmosphere and the quality of the items they sell. They don't bother with the junk and everything is very fairly priced. I scored some nearly new animal print rain boots for $7 and have picked up loads of great kids clothes and gear there. The staff are super nice and very helpful if you're looking for something in particular and shopping at Urban Thirft is just a much better thrifting experience than going to Value Village or the Salvation Army Thrift store next door. Hands down I'd say it's my favourite thrift store in Calgary. Tip: If you check out their Facebook page they post new arrivals so if you're looking for something in particular I would keep an eye there so you see what comes in.
